A thorough history course with plenty of everything and easily taught multiag. Out loud reading, projects, timeline, mixed media, and student workbook makes this course valuable to the family with many learning styles.

We are only on lesson 5, but enjoying this history very much! My 4th grader and 2nd grader will bug me to do history with them! Now to get the restless 5 year old on board! The pictures in the textbook are a wonderful addition to a well written text!

I love it so far and expect to keep loving it!:o) Quick question here if I may- I had my order confirmed on July 31st and it said there was an expected release date of Aug. 27th...does that mean the books were actually printed after I ordered? Simply wanting to know because I have the impression that's how "spanking new" these lovely books are and wanting to impress my littles with the idea; but just wanting to verify that fact:o) They smell so nice and new!:o) God bless!!!

Hi Krista, thank you so much for choosing Notgrass History. You're correct, the books were actually printed after pre-ordering began! We hope you and your family continue to enjoy using Our Star-Spangled Story. Just let us know if we can help or answer any questions.

I am so excited to dig into our books! We did the sample lessons about Savannah, Georgia's settling and enjoyed reading about it as we were there on a visit to some friends. It rounded out our experience beautifully, and was easy enough to read with ages 5, 8 and 10. I really love the layout of the textbook, the little stories of real people and the extra things like the dances and music! So glad I came across this and decided to purchase!!

We love this curriculum for our 9yo. Sometimes we read it together but she is also able to read it on her own and then narrate back to me what she learned. She loves the music that goes along with the learning and the student workbook helps tie it all together.

My daughter LOVES Our Star-Spangled Story! I have to hide it to keep her from working ahead so much that she neglects her other schoolwork!

I am thrilled with my experience. The prices are reasonable, and the preorder got here a bit earlier than expected. I was happy to find a history curriculum for the 1st-4th grade age range, as I feel like there is so little available. The books are totally beautiful, and I love that they are Christian based. We look forward to using them. Thanks!

We love Notgrass. Right now my oldest is going through Uncle Sam and You, my middle is going through From Adam to Us and my two youngest girls are doing Our Star Spangled Story. My oldest, who does not like school, and especially not history, loves history since we started with Notgrass 2 years ago. He remembers things from the reading and brings them up over the dinner table. The American Holidays section from Uncle Sam and You is especially interesting. Reading about National Aviation Day brought about planning a trip with his dad to an air show featuring the Thunderbirds. We love this curriculum.
