For many years I have been planning to start the novel writing process. Jobs, parenting, just daily life always took precedence. I got exactly what I wanted from NowNovel's Coaching+ program, which was a mentorship with a traditionally published romance author. Romy Sommer was both critical and supportive. She made excellent suggestions to my outline, and also helped me realize -why- I'd made some of my choices, which has helped me execute them more intentionally. She was exactly the resource I needed, and I can't recommend her highly enough.
I do think some of the other resources that come with the Coaching+ package might be useful for beginning/young/aspiring writers. I played around with them a little, but didn't really spend a ton of time with them. By the time I booked the service, I was already well past the point where the exercises might have been helpful.

The subjects included in this course have in depth and thorough coverage and the critique you'll receive for completing week 4's assignment is valuable. It could be a little unclear how you go about completing the week's assignments but they remain valuable nonetheless.

I've been serious about writing my novel since the idea came to fruition last summer. This course set me up for success and got me on a path toward actually completing a first draft. The fog never lifts, so far as I’m concerned. Recruiting an expert who knows the shoals and rocks and other perils, is allowing me to progress much more quickly than I had planned. Now Novel is the first and only writing/editing service that seemed promising to me, and so far Hedi has fulfilled that promise. Let’s see whether my goof fortune as a filmmaking craftsman will repeat itself now that I’m writing a novel. It is not nearly as expensive, but it is more challenging, and I’m up at 4am every day because in Hedi Lampert, I have a compadre from Now Novel watching over my material. She guides me and I can’t ask for more. Persuading a publisher is another matter altogether. Let’s see.

It has been incredibly helpful to have Romy not only keep me accountable and figure out how to surmount the challenges of sticking to a writing schedule, but also how to use my limited writing time well.
