I'm always amazed at how there's some aspect of these beads that just doesn't translate to a photo on a website. Shark Bay immediately reminds me of a less tropical sea, where deep cool currents run adjacent to a dry desert coastline. The blue part of the bead is dark but clear glass, only occasionally catching the light, like water many fathoms deep.
