I love this bead, and the brushed finish just ‘feels’ right for the topic. The finish gives the bead an aura of memories cherished for many years. So happy to have it in my collection along with many of the other older tech beads.

I love the look of this bracelet, but it’s just not practical. The hooks at the end are the problem. They need to be tightly closed around the clasp, or the bracelet will fall off. This makes it difficult to change beads. Eventually the hooks weaken after repeated opening and closing. It would be okay if you put your beads on it permanently, with no intention of changing them, but that would defeat the whole purpose of bead collecting. It’s a great concept that failed in the execution. 2 stars for looks only.

This is a pretty bead , no mistake about it - HOWEVER, opalescent it is not. Nor does it bear any resemblance to a black opal (I have several). Nevertheless, it is attractive and makes for lovely bracelet building. :-)
