I had purchased a few products from Oakridge BBQ, due to a friend saying I needed to try this out. To be honest, I am glad that I did. The flavors were fresh, you could tell that everything had top notch products in it. As a military member overseas, they did not hesitate to help me out and also show me their appreciation. I am very impressed with the sample package I received from Oakridge. I'm glad I took the opportunity to try a variety of flavors to see what they had to offer. As soon, as I opened each one, the aromas were wonderful!! It's obvious that quality spices were used, and they are indeed fresh. No way have they been sitting around somewhere, waiting to be bagged up.
I've mixed my own spice blends before, so I know what a difference a fresh mix can make in a recipe. Each one offers something different, and I can't wait to try every one. I've tried the Secret Weapon on chicken, and it blew my mind. I expect similar results from the others!!

Black OPS Brisket Rub
For me, Black Ops is the best commercially available rub for brisket. It has a very balanced flavor that is just outstanding on this cut of beef. The best thing is there isn't too much salt so even if I want to go with a basic salt and pepper rub, I can still add some Black Ops at some point into the cook without worrying about the meat coming out too salty.
Black Ops contains top quality ingredients and is worth a try. Even those of us who prefer to make our own rubs, adding a dab of Ops to the cook process only adds to our already favorable results.
