Loved using this shaker at competition
Pros:
- Shaker holds a good quantity of rub
- Rub used came out evenly
Cons:
- The inside of the lid rusted slightly after it was washed, and I didn't thoroughly dry it out
- I should have bought two of these :)
Other thoughts:
- The holes in the top are worth looking at, if you are using a larger granule rub, the larger pieces don't get through.
- It doesn't come with a lid, but that is not a real deciding point due to not storing rub long term in the shaker.

Secret Weapon Pork & Chicken Rub
I did something I never do, and followed the recipe for brined chicken thighs exactly from this web site. I brined 'em as directed, made a paste of olive oil (cheap stuff too, not Rachael Ray EVOO for me!) and Secret Weapon rub, and smoked them on my Weber kettle for just under an hour. Even with my less-than-ideal equipment and talent, they came out juicy and succulent. The flavor of the rub was right there under the smoke and not a single person at my dinner table that night asked for sauce. Which is saying something!

Our competition BBQ team tried the Secret Weapon rub, combined with the Game Changer All Purpose brine, for the first time on our bone-in chicken thighs for a KCBS Sanctioned event. The brine kept the chicken moist and juicy throughout the smoking process and the rub gave the chicken a nice flavor. As a result, we had our best finish in the chicken category.
