Fear not, my fellow vacuuming friends. These work just as well as the name brands - at a fraction of the cost! I've successfully sealed nearly 3,000 Christmas cookies so far, and not a bad bag in the bunch. I've done the math and these are actually cheaper than the traditional rolls as you can trim and reseal as necessary.

Our Black and Decker vacuum sealer developed a hot spot for lack of a better description. The tape had been burned through at one spot and it would burn through the vacuum bag at that spot. I figured the machine was toast until I stumbled across your product. I didn't realize how easy the tape could be replaced or that your product even existed. After removing the old tape and carefully cleaning the black carbon of the heating wire I applied one of your heat strips and now the B & D is again working as well as one might expect a B & D product to work. We have been using it for four months now and no problems.

For the longest time we've been using the 8" rolls for sealing everything before they take a plunge in the freezer. I believe these are sold by the same company as the 8" ones. While we like the 8" rolls a lot, they're suboptimal for things like soups and chilis. We had 11" bags that came with our sealer that we never tried, so we finally put them to the test. Holy heck are they easier to put stuff in when it's not a solid! After running out of the "FoodSaver" brand bags, we decided to give these a try, and haven't looked back yet. The 8" bags are still going to be the primary bags, because we don't make soups nearly as often as meal prepped proteins, but these are a must have for any FoodSaver person out there. The reason why we like these is related to the difference in the mouth opening. It's extremely hard to ladle / measure and pour discrete amounts of soup into an 8" opening, but those extra few inches are all that we needed apparently. These allow for us to pour / measure an amount into a bowl we use for serving, and then take the entire bowl, put it in the bag & pour out what we measured. It's SO much less mess and SO much easier, too, which is a HUGE bonus. I dreaded soup sealing time until we got these, and now it's no different than anything else! Some tips/tricks that we didn't really think of or know until very recently: 1. If you seal the bag on some FoodSaver brand sealers, you can't manually start the sealing process unless you're on "Moist food" mode. Manually being able to stop the suction and start the sealing process stops as much soup/whatever from sneaking into the machine. Put it into "Most" mode, and then when you're JUST SHY of sucking all the air out, press the Seal button. More air will be sucked out, and SOME air won't kill your food (just don't leave lots). If you do it right, you'll still end up with nearly zero air and a nice sealed meal. 2. After you seal something that is not sticky and that pulls away from plastic well (soup, chili, etc), even if it's something that has chunks in it, gently knead the stuff in the bag until the bag is mostly the same size all around the entire bag. This allows you to stack the bags one on top of another in the freezer. Once the items freeze they're thin like a deck of cards instead of a solid mass. It also allows for things to freeze faster AND more evenly! You can then stand them upright in a bin, if desired, or you can keep them stacked like this! (see picture) These are really nice bags and I've had very little issue sealing with them. There's been a couple times where the sealer didn't do a great job, but I think that's FoodSaver's issue not these bags.

First time trying these bags for my Foodsaver Game Keeper. They are every bit as good as the Foodsaver brand, but a whole lot more economical in price. I also like being able to get the longer roll as the shorter rolls Foodsaver offers leave too many short ends that aren't usable. The cutter works great, as well. I will be buying more of these as needed.
