Beautiful quality. The sizing is large and it is quite LONG. Annoyingly, so. A shorter length would be more modern and less in the way. I purchased L and XL, and could have possibly done a Medium. It also stretches out quite a bit. The large still has lots of room for layering and I am pretty busty. For reference, 5'5, 155 pounds, DD. Thin but warm without bulk. But gosh, it feels like a lot of material given the length and generous cut.

These are lovely pants. The cotton lining is a lifesaver if you can't handle the itch of other wool pants. Sometimes they still itch me, but it's alright. They are surprisingly WARM for such thin, easy breezy pants. I can see how they would be amazingly packable, too. If between sizes, size down. Mine have stretched out a lot! I bought mediums and larges, kept the mediums and actually think I could have gotten smalls and let them break in. Time will tell in the wash, but definitely size down and let them stretch out in the first few wears. I got the matching hoody, and while it is beautiful, the length is making me crazy - a little too long for moving around but I will probably keep it. These pants in more colors like that maroon or a deep purple would be amazing!

This is what I had hoped for. I originally purchased an XL because I am right at the border between L and XL. I had previously purchase XL men’s Apu Parka which seems good (just starting to wear it) for layering and an XL essential Tee. The thermal hoody was returned for the L which is perfect. The thumb holes and hood are great, it’s very comfortable.
