I Absolutely Love Ghis Thing

Men's Apu Parka
Like the title says, I love this coat! It is lightweight and excels at keeping you warm. I was almost too warm when wearing a lightweight merino wool sweater under it in 15°F/-9.4°C weather this past week. It will keep you comfortably warm just fine with a base layer t-shirt (long or short sleeve), but still will fit well over a reasonably heavy/thick sweater. But I really haven’t needed anything that insulating under this AMAZING coat. It’s been hanging in my closet waiting for suitable weather to wear it in and I have to say it’s been worth both the price and the wait (I really can’t believe I’m this excited over a coat LOL).

There are a couple minor issues, and I would rate the coat overall at 4.5 stars, but the minor things weren’t worthy of taking a full star away.

Pros:
- The inner cuff on the sleeves, with the thumb holes, are inspired. They are just long enough to slip into a glove when hooked around your thumb, and then the outer Velcro cuff can be tightened down over the glove to seal out cold, wet, etc.
- Did I mention how this has kept me warm, with minimal layers underneath, in cold winter weather?! Yeah, it’s that good, and it’s also lightweight.
- The outer fabric will shed water as advertised. You are unlikely to get wet in this coat in anything but the heaviest downpour, and I haven’t been able to put the downpour situation to the test to see if it holds up to that.
- It’s breathable. Super breathable. The outer fabric isn’t plasticy or like neoprene. Moisture leaves the jacket, but you stay warm and dry. It also gives a nice feel on the hand. It doesn’t look or feel like “technical” fabrics, but it exceeds those fabrics in protecting you from cold and damp. Feels like good regular but quality fabric.
- It doesn’t just keep you warm, it regulates temperature. You will feel the same comfortable temperature across a wide temperature spectrum. I haven’t been able to test this in the advertised low extreme of -20°F, but what I’ve seen thus far is promising. I have no doubts, personally, that it will hold up as advertised. But when it warms up, you won’t overheat.
- For those rare times you do get a little extra toasty, there are pit zips to dump the excess heat. Say you’re more physically active or maybe you find any layers you are wearing under the coat are leaving you a bit warmer than intended. This allows you to ventilate and bring your core body temp back I to the comfort zone.
- Hood tightness can be adjusted as expected. You may not see how at first - look at the back of the hood and you will see the cinch to adjust. Good will for a helmet, at least for me, if desired.
- all external pockets have zippers. I find this to be an essential feature that too many “activewear” companies leave out on these kind of coats.
- ALL the zippers are waterproof. From the main, to the pockets, to the pit zips. Zip these up, and whatever is behind them isn’t getting wet from anything outside the coat.
- Draw/cinch cords at the bottom hem to adjust for wind/weather/snow.
- I like the red color and the Inca woven piece by the chest pocket zipper.
- It fits well. Reasonably close to the body but not such that you can’t wear anything underneath it. Even with a slight belly I’m not constricted in my regular size (XL - I’m 74”/188cm tall, and weigh about 230lbs/104kg), but I also don’t feel like I’m wearing a tent.

Cons:
- Ok, the absolute WORST thing I can say about this coat thus far is that the zippers on the hand warmer pockets should zip closed from top to bottom. They are instead sewn in such that you have to pull the zipper from the bottom up to close them. These zippers probably won’t “drift” due to gravity, but there’s the possibility. Also, trying to zip up these pockets one-handed by pulling from bottom to top is much more challenging than pulling from top to bottom would be.
- Because the waterproof zippers by their nature require a little more force than normal zippers to zip/unzip, some stiffer, reinforcing material around them would make it easier. Nothing rigid, just not so flexible as the rest of the coat.
- because the front/main zipper is designed to bring the neckline all the way up to your chin, if necessary, it can feel a little strange when you’re wearing it unzipped or not zipped completely. This is just a personal preference thing and your mileage may vary. I doubt most will notice my odd brain just picks up on that stuff.
- I wouldn’t call it a packable coat. It is lightweight as just about anything I’ve owned in the past, but I don’t think it will stuff into a pocket of stuff sack. I’d feel comfortable stuffing it with my gear in a daypack, but it will not be as compact as jackets advertised as packable. This is a non-issue for me, and I find I’ve never felt sufficiently warm/protected from wind in those type of coats.
- I can’t wear it year round. 😆 Seriously, I can’t really find much wrong with this thing, and the stuff I do is minor stuff. I love it.

I bought the original puffer Paka sold a couple years back, and I’m selling/giving that away and keeping this one. It addresses all the issues I had with the original puffer (which was still a damned good winter coat) and some I didn’t even realize existed.

If you’re on the fence, buy it.

As someone who has a difficult to dress lower body, these are undeniably the most comfortable panties I’ve ever worn. I will be replacing all of my underwear with them. No shifting or riding up.

When I was debating purchasing this, I just was just getting into the winter season in the mid-atlantic area of America (average winter temp around 30-35 degrees Fahrenheit). I was financially torn between spending alot of money on a parka type jacket or buying the vida which was much more affordable. I ended up buying the vida hoping it would be warm enough as a layer underneath my jacket I tend to wear outside for fall season.

Not only was the vida warm, but layering it underneath a jacket was more than sufficient for me. I think the warmth of this hoodie is very understated. And if you wear long sleeves underneath the hoodie, it's even WARMER. It's perfect. And I love the fact that it's made ethically. I will be purchasing additional items in the future for sure.

Thank you for this wonderful product and I appreciate everything you all as a company stand for.

Women's Essential Scoop Bralette
I do Tai Chi every day as a practitioner and instructor. This bra is very comfortable and stays in place no matter how I move, and it doesn't feel tight. The fabric is nicely thick, so it's very supportive. The best part is that it's made from natural materials, no artificial materials like metals. I strongly recommend it.

Socks..... what and how much can one say about socks. Happy feet are are the equivalent of a full belly after a delicious meal; only more subtle. When they are unhappy it rises to the level of crisis very quickly, because what are you going to do? You cant fake it, they either are or are not. Left unattended the unhappy feet soon become a pain, rising to the area of existential dread. Pretty soon the rest of life becomes unbearable. Save your life, get good socks.
