As a sensitive person, i will admit although it's scratchy it's not overwhelmingly enough for me to take off compared to other thermals. I was a bit disappointed that this was not warm as i thought because i even wore a shirt under and sweater on top of it and still felt a bit of chill despite "thermal" in its name. So if you are sensitive, I do not suggest this base layer. But if you don't have sensitive skin then it might feel a bit more cozy and warm to you.

Shrunk, even after following directions

Followed all the directions for delicately washing on cold in a machine and laying flat to dry and yet it shrunk. A lot. I then found many reviews saying you basically need to hand wash - the company should specify that. This was disappointing. Otherwise, it’s comfy and nice. But wow - this money for it to shrink!

I’m very particular about socks, especially since found a brand/style that works well. Finally took a chance on these and have no been disappointed. They are insanely soft and comfortable with perfect extra padding on the heel and ball of the foot. If they stand up to the test of time, they’d be the perfect socks.

I’ve always wanted a lighter weight alpaca hoodie to wear in milder weather but I have found that wearing it at work at the hospital is perfect for some days when the temperature drops. I’m an outdoor person and this hoodie works great as an added layer under my jacket. It’s soft and so comfortable even when I do not have a shirt under it!!! Alpaca fiber is wonderful!!!!!

I absolutely love the softness of the Origina Crew (and my family does too as they tell me when they hug me in one), but I am saddened that high friction and even non-friction points have resulted in pilling - so much so that I had to buy a shaver gizmo from Amazon. I am surprised to not see this mentioned in other reviews. I think this sweater is absolutely gorgeous, comfy, warm, and great for layering once you find your size in this ‘unisex’ sizing scheme, but the pilling is disappointing. I loved this sweater so much that I bought the Hoodie (same fabric and percent of alpaca wool), and it is also pilling. These sweaters were supposed to be my ‘forever’ sweaters but depending how much more they pill, I might have to leave these behind. BTW, I’m 5’ 7” @127lbs and I’m an XXS in the Crew and an XS in the Hoodie (again - the sizing issues!). Good luck Paka!
