I’ve been looking for running socks specially designed for cold weather. I’ve tried using leading brands of warm wool socks, but they are dense, bulky, and not stretchy. PAKA performance crew socks are fantastic and exactly what I was looking for. Like other top running socks, they are padded at the heel and by the toes, and less so under the arch to eliminate bulk. I did a 90-minute run in 20-23F temps wearing these. My stomach was cold and itchy, but my feet were toasty warm. When I took them off, they were damp with sweat. I accidentally ordered black. Rather than return them I bought a second pair in quail. love that color. The writing on the toes is icing on the cake. Great socks!

This has potential to be amazing. However, since it is unisex, it is very boxy feeling. It is very long and the sleeves feel even longer. I’m considering having it altered by a seamstress. It also sheds as I move. I noticed it while drinking a latte yesterday. I kept finding new black fibers floating on my white milk foam. The fabric itself feels great and it is very warm. It could use some improvements as it does not fit a woman’s body at all.

I bought this sweater and some socks for myself after my mom bought me a base layer for Christmas. I am 5’5” and 117 pounds and I got the xs which was what was recommended for me in the website. The sweater is lightweight but warm. It’s a little oversized and it is long but I like that because I can wear over leggings or skinny jeans. I bought the “oatmeal” color and it is a nice neutral, not too brown, not too white. Overall I love this weather and wear it pretty much every day!

I have a bunch of Paka ware. This may be my favorite. Love the feel and texture. This fleece seems to have a wide range to comfortable temperature. I wear it around the house and then take the dogs out ( along with my Paka joggers ) at below zero degrees. Best fleece I’ve ever owned.

After reading great reviews, I was excited about trying an alpaca hiking layer for cold-weather hiking. The build quality is there. But after a few hikes I realized that this top is too easily snagged … I have had several long threads pulled out. Being too fragile, requiring hand washing, and the smell after washing was a turn-off for me. I will stay with by current hiking layers.
