Having this beanie in my pocket, ready to wear whether I’m cold inside or am going for a walk outside, has changed my life. I’ve never worn a hat indoors and now I get it!
PAKA is such an inspiring and passionate project, I love supporting it. Your website, videos, and communication with customers are all superb. Bravo!

I love my Paka sweater for all sorts of reasons:
--It fits perfectly. I'm a 5'5" guy with a small frame and this fits perfectly at the shoulders, in arm length, and torso length
--It's super light weight. You would never believe it provides the warms it does. And because it's not bulky, it fits great under jackets
--It's super warm. (see above)
--It's surprisingly durable. You don't have to take special care of this. I roll it up and stuff it in my bag when I travel and it retains its shape perfectly.
--It looks great. Folks compliment me all the time.

And I love what Paka is doing, empowering women in Peru, basically creating an economy. it just shows that with some thought, ingenuity, and care, you can create products that work great and have a net positive impact at their source. I also love that they used the stretch goal money to provide a scholarship for a Peruvian girl.

I look forward to additional products coming from Paka.

From the start PAKA has been transparent about their goals, ambition, and purpose. Now that I have my sweater, I can truly see they put themselves into it whole heartedly. This product and company are top notch!

I was excited to receive the Paka crew neck and hoodie sweaters as well as the beanie. All fit like a glove, so Paka's sizing chart worked fine for me. Check.

I've worn my 2 sweaters for well over a week now. Overall, they're a great experience that I warmly recommend. Nicely cut, tastefully designed with attention to small details such as a smooth silhouette-hugging collar. Understated, tasteful branding. Distinctive design touches. A pleasure to wear. I will buy more of Paka's products in the future.

While they fit well out of the box, the fit improved further with wear. They become form-fitting, which is really nice. If you wear them over something dark you may notice afterward that they shed a little bit, but that's normal in the beginning, especially for garments made with natural fibre.

I also tested the major specific product claims by Paka, and here's what I found:

- "Thermoregulating" -- Yep. Check. Wearing it without undershirt and moving from a toasty indoors to a nippy outdoors, my upper body did not feel too cold or too hot. The knit sides work really well for adapting to different ambient temperatures.

- "Extremely light" -- Yep. Check. It is. Amazing really, how little they weigh. Inevitably this makes their thickness fairly thin. So while Alpaca wool may technically be "as warm as polar bear fur", I wouldn't recommend testing this on icy skiing slopes or at either of the poles, not with this version of these sweaters at least. You *will* feel a strong cold wind coming through.

- "Odor resistant" -- Yep. Check. Wore them in alternation over several days mostly without undershirt, and my lady (who has an praeternaturally sharp sense of smell) never sounded her alarm. In my book, that means they passed the smell test.

- "Hypoallergenic" -- Yep. Check. No skin rashes or lasting skin irritation to report.

- "Soft as cashmere" / "softer than cashmere" -- Well... Only on this single claim, the jury is out. Every time I put them on without undershirt, both sweaters gave me a prickly, itchy feeling all over my arms and torso. This abates, but the cashmere sweaters I own and wear don't do that. Don't get me wrong, they *are* delightfully soft to the touch and very comfortable. But when I put them right next to my cashmere sweaters and compare the feeling, I can't say they feel "softer than cashmere". Maybe this is because my cashmere sweaters are pure cashmere and thicker, whereas the Paka sweaters are 60% baby Alpaca wool.

To be fair, when I brought this issue up to them, Zael personally sent me a very kind note mentioning that "Our second round of sweaters are actually made of even softer material (as a start-up we're always perfecting our products)." So this itchy prickling may only be present with their first batch. I'll be interested to feel-test their second round sweaters. And full marks to Zael and the Paka company for communication with and attention to their customers: you are a delight and a breath of fresh air compared to so many other Kickstarter project creators.

I'll be most interested to see what other Alpaca wool products Paka brings out: cardigans, Q-zips, scarves, shawls for women, throw blankets, mittens and gloves, feet-warming knitted 'booties' as indoor footwear for the winters, lounge pants, thicker versions, more colors. If Paka launches these through Kickstarter, I'll defintely back their campaigns again.

In summary, I found these Paka sweaters to be close-to-perfect products, with an unusually high 'truth-in-advertising' score for the product claims made by the Paka company.

I love my Paka hoodie and beanie! They are so soft, warm, and light. I wear the beanie around the house. It just feels good to wear it, regardless of the air temperature. It is amazing how light it is, how it takes up so little room in my coat pocket, and how warm it keeps my head. The hoodie is stylish, unique in its cut and fit, flattering, and the fabric breathes and moves easily. I love the mission of the company, its personal and personable customer service, the sense of style, and the stickers are very cool! They get things right, down to the labels and the vibe of the website. I look forward to the next generation of products and to see where they go next--PAKA is here to stay!

The PAKA hoodie and beanie are extremely warm, and the perfect thing for outdoor activities because they’re so light. They were perfect for our cabin weekend, and were super comfy to just lounge around in too! The PAKA hoodie and beanie are clothes I’m proud to wear because I know they came from a good place with genuine intentions to help people.

You cannot be cold in this amazing jumper! Sizing is a little big. Colour choice of grey is limiting. Weight is perfect. Superb product

OMG but this is the softest thing I have ever worn! I ordered both hoodie and crewneck as well as the cap based solely on the KickStarter video. I was in one of the Chinchero weaving places shown, and wanted to support them and others. Now I may just have to order enough that I never have to wear anything else. Given that I work from home, my wardrobe is based on comfort not dress codes formal or informal.
