Spent 140$ on what I thought was an epic hoodie. Looked to be great quality but after the second dry it shrunk 2-3 sizes and is completely un usable. It somehow lost 3-4 inches of length and turned into a crop top….. very large waste of money.

I've been waiting to get alpaca gear for a while and recently took the leap and couldn't be more pleased. They keep my feet really warm and are very comfortable. Also, because Alpaca wool is warmer than Merino (at any given weight), they offer improved performance and breathability you really can't find elsewhere. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anyone and plan on picking up more in the future.

Wore this sweater for a winter week in Iceland. The hood was great to keep my head warm under a helmet while exploring an ice cave. It kept me warm all week and yet breathed well so I wasn't overheated in the van or restaurants. So soft as well! Never itched me like wool.

I am currently writing this review from Antarctica (thank you Starlink) after testing this shirt out in the field on Half Moon Island. I have to say that it performed excellently. It was the only layer I had on under my coat—besides a light t-shirt—and I was toasty warm, nearly sweating at times. When I took my jacket off to take a picture, I wasn’t met with instant freezing, and wasn’t even in a hurry to put it back on. I’m honestly surprised at how well they worked and felt. Slightly scratchy when I first put it on because my skin is used to just cotton or synthetics, but it was nothing bothersome and I stopped noticing it after a few minutes. It’s also nice and lightweight and packs great. If you’re going to be spending time out in the cold, these thermals are definitely worth it.
