can't say enough about this co. First and foremost the exceptional service and integrity. Seems like a rare quality in business these days of (the dolled first). Second product supplied is more than you would expect for the price range. Thanks Mike for the good work you do and may God bless your business. Rodger

I am rating the 3 in 1 welding unit 4 stars because I have not really used it, other than testing the plasma cutting and arc welding features. I have not tested the TIG, but so far everything has been good.

Very happy with the welder so far the price was good before I bought it I called customer service with some questions and they were very helpful in making my decision to buy it has the a new foot pedal that is better. I took a Tig class 10 years ago and haven’t welded for years so a little rusty.

Impressed with the machine. I have welded stainless aluminum and mild steel in all different applications. No hiccups or problems. I did a bit of research before buying and only really found that the foot pedal was funky. The foot pedal with mine is just like name brand foodpedal not like the pictures. Pulse works very well and there are alot of adjustments to control the weld however your style. My only complaint is the power switch on the rear and I can't just hit the breaker or it won't shut down right. I have not used stick weld function nor will I probably ever have a need to.

I'm not the best person to write a review on this welder as it's the first welder I've ever owned nor have I ever tried tig welding before. I bought it as it says it will weld aluminum and it does. The box seemed pretty beat up when it arrived but the inner clamshell encasing the welder was intact. Still one of the front feet was broken which must have happened before packaging. Not worried about it as they front feet had to come off anyway for it to fit into a trolly I bought to hold it and the argon tank. The instructions it came with are excellent. I plugged everything together and ya, it works. Some reviews complained it was loud, me, not so much. The fans make some noise, but I wouldn't call them noisy. Some reviews complain about the pedal, I think it's been upgraded or at least changed. It doesn't look like the on reviewed on YouTube. Again I have nothing to compare it to but it works and has been undated. So, I like it, it works on aluminum, it was inexpensive considering all its features. Now it's up to me to learn how to use it.

Initial set up and start up was easy. Only issue I have with the machine is the face plate markings. I feel like I’m guessing on my hertz and frequency settings. Over all the machine welds good. I have an Everlast 250 Ex also. The Prime Weld machine welds just as good if not better in some instances. Especially on A/C welding aluminum. It’s a good machine for the cost.

Been tig welding since the late '50s, & needed some "toys" to replace my well equipped shop I recently sold...this little welder was purchased with reservations (along with their mig 180), but both have performed flawlessly - can't believe for the price they can achieve this level of excellency. Thumbs up, mate!

TIG225X AC/DC TIG Welder With Pulse
My influence for this purchase was to learn a new skill-set without having to invest a substantial amount of funds to accomplish that task. 8+ months of research of this topic before the purchase to verify whether I "would" pursue my goal. A much-needed "THANKS" to Justin of "The Fabrication Series" on YouTube and through e-mail correspondence. (He's a very thorough and meticulous person, and a really phenomenal guy, to boot.)
This is my story...
Before purchase, I spoke with a representative from Primeweld. Very friendly fellow and answered every question I could think to ask. Upon arrival, inspected everything and nothing was loose, ill-fitting - it was all very well made and solid. Already had argon and consumables on-hand. Began welding that evening, although I'd never welded a day in my life.
Began figuring out how to use the stick-function using just 6011 and 6013 electrodes. In 3 evenings, I became comfortable with my welds. (A lot of trial and error considering the junk metal I could find around the house. Weld a bit, cut through welds to verify penetration, etc.) At first, it's daunting to try and handle the electrodes. After a bit of familiarity and a few YouTube videos, it's not as tough to accomplish. It's mostly the beginning of the arc and consistent travel-speed / traveling in a straight-line.
On day 4, I began trying to figure out the process of Tig Welding. Although quite an extensive amount of metal-preparation, cleaning etc. - by day 6 I was accomplishing satisfactory welds. The hardest part is combining the 3 simultaneous movements of constant torch height and movement speed using one hand, rhythmically feeding filler-wire and consistent spacing of material added with the other hand, and controlling amplitude with your foot. Your eyes know what you want to do, but your body isn't as responsive. Nothing about it is normal from the start, so don't expect it to fall in to place naturally. It's all a series of repetition - building confidence and skill throughout the process. Not impossible, but just making things feel more familiar and comfortable.
There's nothing that I can say bad about the machine. The thing just does much more than I'm able to figure in to my developing skill, yet. It is a phenomenal experience to begin accomplishing the small goals set for oneself while learning. In time, I would really like to be able to use all of the functionality it's capable of and... well... know more about what I'm doing in the process.
The company of Primeweld is a place I'll do business with again. (Hopefully able to add their CUT60 one day.) If you have a question, you can call, e-mail, whatever. They answer promptly and are focused on satisfying customers. There is no transfer of calls, waiting on hold forever... none of that. I like what they have to offer at the prices they are offered. I'm no welder by trade, but it would not be much of a stretch to be able to learn most all a person needs to accomplish using this equipment. I'm very impressed with the capabilities and thankful for the purchase of this machine.
This has been my experience with the company and the machine in roughly 2 weeks time. If you've made it this far, then thanks for reading my lengthy, yet limited-in-knowledge, review.

This is really a great machine. Ive been tig welding almost 10 years now and welding in general for 13. Compared to the Thermal Arc, Miller, and ESAB machines ive the only real difference i can see is that the adjustments are analog knobs as apposed to a push button digital selector and that its max is at 225Amps as opposed to the 350+AMP commercial machines ive listed. I honestly love this thing though! Ive hooked it up to an airco water cooler and a weldcraft W-350 torch with a 75%helium 25%argon gas mix to really push its limits lastnight and i was truely amazed with its capabilities. For the price, compatability, function and the excellent customer service, you just cannot beat this machine!
