These bolts are sturdy and super easy to use. They are now required for many airlines. Even if they aren't required for your particular airline, I would highly recommend switching from the plastic bolts to these metal bolts. The only thing I am disappointed about is that this website doesn't offer the colored bolts anymore. I bought pink bolts when I purchased from this website and there were a couple other colors to choose from. I hope the colored bolts come back. It is important to make your pet's crate stand out at the airport, especially if they are flying in excess baggage. The colored bolts help with this. I still highly recommend this product.

I purchased the two microchip bundle in order to meet EU regulations for our move to the UK next year and I have to say I was really pleased with the product. The smaller gauge needle and the smaller size microchip worked perfectly for our parrots - we were worried, but they didn't even bleed! Our vet normally uses Avid microchips but even he was impressed by the size of the Microfindr Slim chips and syringe! I really appreciated the pre-paid registration in PetLink, too, it made filling in my information on the database a cinch and I'm both relieved and happy that we'll be able to easily update our contact details on PetLink after our move also! the kit is supposed to have different size bolts as well as lock washers. We received only one size of bolts (which seem to fit) but only regular washers, not lock washers. Also, the bolts protrude beyond the nut heads but assume that will be acceptable by the airline.

The requirements in the packet I received are out of date. I spoke directly with a veterinarian in Honduras who reviews incoming documents and as of 2 years ago, they no longer require an Import Permit or a Certified Veterinary Certificate from the USDA. The address and phone number for the Honduras Agriculture Ministry (where we are supposed to send the application to import a cat or dog) is incorrect.

The Bergan has lots more space for your pet to stand up and flattens down nicely to fit under the plane seats in cabin.
