It was refreshing to be able to speak with someone who wasn't dismissive of the pain and discomfort I had been going through the last three years. And when my body went through a spasmodic episode, the doctor didn't call attention to my already obvious discomfort and graciously wrapped up the interview so I didn't need to be self-conscious and embarrassed as I had been made to feel in the past.
