I purchased 2 of the option 2 extractors, one for my .38/357 & the other for my .45 Colt. I installed them by pushing them backwards out of the plastic sleeve thus eliminating flying springs! Both rifle have noticeable improvement in smoothness and ejected all brass flawlessly to about 20" from my lead foot and just a little forward at about 2: to the rifle. On the 45 at least these extractors appear as though they will help a lot with the carbon build up in the extractor channel/hole, making cleaning easier as well. For Cowboy Action I believe this accessory will be a great addition.

Totally worth it. I also purchased the L9 Guide Rod. Brass weight / Guide Rod makes my Steyr L9 shoot super flat with little muzzle rise. Much easier to get back onto target shot after shot. Quality parts and installation was very easy (thanks for the video!).

Marlin Rossi 95 Aluminum Magazine Followers, Self Cleaning
Recently received one of the "Marlin Aluminum Magazine Followers, Self Cleaning" for my Marlin 1894CB and having tried others found this one from Ranger Point to be the best for overall fit and function in the rifle. Best part is that it fits "over" the spring properly and stays straight in the tube instead of butting up against it and getting canted sideways like some of the stainless steel models.

Marlin Lever Medium Large Loops | Black Nitride Steel
Should be factory stock. The standard lever, and degree of actors fit-and-finish, makes rapid operation of the Marlin 1894 about as smooth as the gearbox on an old soviet tractor. The big loop allows more room for hand movement before contacting the walls of the loop. The old loop is like putting your hand into a bear trap to operate the action.
Also, invest in the shim set, and measure carefully to determine how much shimming is needed on both sides. While the lever itself is basically a straight drop-in, proper shimming should be done by someone with proper precision measuring equipment. I used lab-grade digital calipers, and picked the best combination of shim thickness to provide the absolute smallest gap while still allowing free motion. With shimming, I achieved a gap of .0005 on each side. This made the track of the loop, and bolt, much more exact and repeatable, and easily cut down random side stresses by at least half. A cheap performance upgrade for a few dollars, and a bit of careful work, and Im no longer worried about sprained fingers during rapid-file.

I ordered this lever with the additional parts needed for installation so I could leave my original lever intact. I expected I would have to install the additional parts myself but instead the lever came fully assembled. This lever is truly a drop in part, I installed the Ranger Point Lever in about 2min. And it worked absolutely great. It had no more side to side movement than the factory lever but since I ordered the shim kit I decided to see if some of it could be removed. I could only install one shim, a second one would not fit. Thats how well these levers are made. Well worth the investment, thank you Ranger Point for an easy to install, high quality product in fit, form, funtion and finish.

This extractor is very unique. There is a much wider surface to surface contact point with RPP's extractor. The grip on the brass is very secure, yet smoother to engage than the factory design. My 32-20 brass is precious, and now it lands in a neat pile, as long as I'm not moving around as I shoot. A very reasonably priced improvement for Marlin lever guns!

Excellent quality product, fills a need for a part that is hard to find. A tip for installing,leave part in plastic sleeve and push out using a q tip. This will help to keep spring captured. Should you have problem cleaning extractor area, a 22 caliber brass brush will remove any remaining material. This is a precision part and will not fit , if area is not clean. Brass is ejected between 2 & 3 o' clock. I plan to buy 3 more for my other Marlins. Thanks Ranger Point for a well needed, improved design part.

I was hesitant to change out my stock lever, as I wasn't sure the improvement would be worth the cost of the lever. I shouldn't have waited! The trigger guard is larger in the right places, and the loop is not only larger, but reshaped to give more clearance for the middle finger. All the edges are nicely radiused and more comfortable than the stock lever. The lever installed in minutes and the machine work was top notch. This lever is what should be on these rifles from Marlin. Well worth the cost!
