Perhaps too beautiful to wear… I have borrowed a neighbor’s dirndl to sing in Oktoberfest concerts, and while hers was lovely and authentic (she studied abroad in Munich), the one I just received from Rare Dirndl is absolutely stunning in its simplicity and quality. I may need to get it altered just a bit for a perfect fit (a curse of the short-waisted), but I cannot wait to sing in it!

I really like this sweater, but I would suggest that the Plum has a lot of Cinnamon notes. I'm a True Summer who collects pink and purple turtle necks and sweaters. but it's more of an Autumn purple, almost brown for classified Autumns, I tried to order the Blush but they didn't have it in my size. I like the sweater, but the color is so warm I can only use it with Turtlenecks that drift into Muted Summer, or cooler end of Autumn like Forrest green that I sometimes drift into in the winter months, just to stay in seasonal harmony.
Unless you vibe with Cinnamon I suggest Oatmeal or Blush if you're on the cooler end of things. Because these colors with be easier to finesse, especially if you love pinks and soft purples like I do.

I've looked at this dirndl on the website forever. Finally broke down and ordered and I love it. I really like the material, a little different than others, as always the fit is perfect. It's a great little black dress, since I have many dirndl blouses, some fancy, some basic, I'm sure i will wear this often. This is my 14th dirndl and I keep track of when I wear each of them so every one of them get equal wear!! Even when I put on an annual Memorial Day BBQ, I wear one. We attend many Oktoberfest celebrations here at So California breweries, amoungst other places.
