The inverter is fine and does what I wanted it to do, steady the power flow to my exhaust fan. The almost is there because I bought the open box version and it had no instructions so I had to go looking for some.

These Cable ends are very well made with a good positive contact on the terminal. They are great quality at a great price. Dont hesitate to buy them.

This was an upgrade from my 20 amp MPPT controller from Renogy. I expsnded the solar panel count and exceeded the old controller maximum. This is a very nice controller. I particularly like the BT-1 bluetooth monitor capability for cell phone monitoring.
Unfortunately the BT-1 when accessed by my 7 plus iphone is very flaky. It has trouble connecting most times. When it does connect, the connection is lost shortly after. So its somewhat agrevating to use. I contacted Renogy and was assured an update to the app was in the works and will be available in a month to fix this issue for older phones. I look forward to that.

I got to try out the solar panel folio on a recent camping trip in Alabama. The solar panel is a highly efficient 3-panel portable charger that is designed for use in emergency situations off the grid or device charging on long trips away from power sources. The charger contains two USB ports that are designed to be "smart" and deliver the appropriate amount of energy to each device efficiently. I would say this charger is probably best used for backpacking where it functions as a helpful tool but should not be relied on for daily charging. I found the solar panel to be very effective and efficient at charging my devices whenever there was sufficient sun. One of the challenges and limitations of the device is it relies on the weather but overall it worked for the purpose it was designed.

As a Ranger for The Dyrt, I get products to test from time to time – on this trip I tested the Renogy E.FLEX10 Portable Solar Panel with USB Port. I do want to make mention that they have updated the design just slightly since I received these but I was told by support the functional specifics are the same but the new panel dimensions are a bit smaller than the ones I have.

This panel has quickly become one of my favorite camping accessories. The panel itself is not much larger than a piece of letter paper when open and then it folds in half and is not much wider than a piece of cardboard except the USB port. The panels are rigid except for the hinges that are actually fairly stiff but slightly flexible (like a reinforced fabric). The panels charge just as well as a charging block plugged into a wall unit when in full sunlight. When the panel is in indirect sunlight it will still charge just not as quickly. I had a bit of fun testing this with my cell phone and seeing the “estimated time until fully charged” change within a few seconds as I would change the amount of sunlight the panel was exposed to.

Each panel comes with 4 removable suction cups so that you can mount it inside a window on your car (or outside the window when you are parked) as well as 2 carabiners so that you can hang it from a tent or on a backpack while hiking. There are small cutouts on each corner of the panel that you can place the suction cups or caribiners through. I’ve been using the panels primarily around camp. I’ll hook one up to my cell phone and the other up to a battery pack (that can then charge the small electronics when there is no sunlight). I’ve also used it in the dashboard of the car when travelling to the campsite. If you do this, I suggest you get a non-slip type grip pad so you don’t have it sliding across the dash when driving around corners.

Overall, I’m really happy with the E.FLEX10. It is so lightweight and very compact. Since receiving it I’ve had it in my overnight bag, my hiking bag, and an emergency bag in my Jeep and it still looks brand new while being a super useful tool around camp. I’d strongly suggest you get one (or two) of these if you want a little added security for an emergency pack or if you plan to be in the woods for a few days and would rather not risk killing your car battery charging your portable electronics.

Impressed with the quality and ease of set up. Time to dive into the online manual and see if it lives up to the reviews. Looking forward to many a dry camping trip.

Easy to use

Exceeded my expectations in terms of performance. I wish it came with grommeted holes for mounting but that was easy enough to do on my own. Would recommend.

Augments my 2 100 watt roof top Renogy panels on my RV. This allows me to camp in the shade and still charge my batteries. The only disappointment is that the support legs will only allow about a 45 degree angle to the sun. To catch as much sun as possible, here in the PNW, I sometimes have to prop the legs up with what ever I can find to get the panel directed at the sun. This often leaves the panel prone to the mercy of the wind. Other wise this is a great system.

Easy to use, easy to understand. Works great. Wires to battery seem a little undersized, easily upgraded to larger if desired.

I am very satisfied with these connectors. If I have the need for any more, I will certainly come back to this source.

Bought extension cables to complete routing on my Motorhome roof. Same good quality as the other parts in the kit I bought. Once plugged in, I don't think I'll have to worry about it. Water tight, and flexible, it lays down real nice!

The purchase process was excellent. I also like the panels but for some reason I don’t see more available. I would likke to buy at least 16 more panels. Of course I liked the 10% discount too.

I have just installed my second Renogy and it wors like it should, NO drama, no special configuration, just mount, plug in and Charge. A quality made piece, Highly recommend anything by Renogy. I will return when I need to update my system.

I replaced a failed 100W panel (from another vendor) with Renogy's 160W panel. The installation went surprisingly smoothly, considering I'm not at all handy. I replaced the old controller with Renogy's Rover, which provides much more feedback on the battery's and panel's status. And the Bluetooth module lets me see all this from my phone! I now have enough power to camp off-grid all the time!

I ordered the 40 amp Rover without the Bluetooth, but then found that I needed an external connection in order to make needed adjustments for my specific Lithium battery setup. So I ordered the BT-1, and it showed up in the mail just 2 days later. Plugged it in, downloaded the app and it worked flawlessly the first time.

I'd done alot of research on every brand out there, and came away mostly confused by the negative reviews. I find the negative reviews unfounded now.
1st, the panel arrived 2 days ahead of schedule. (That's actually a bad thing, in this day and age of porch pirates a more accurate delivery date even ahead of schedule, is a must to deter theft. If the package arrives ahead of schedule, it could possibly go unattended for a long time or until stolen. Shipping address is not always a well attended address.)
The panel was well packaged and that was my greatest fear that it was fragile and could never arrive intact. But it did. The panel is actually pretty sturdy and the glass is not as delicate as i'd imagined. I'd guess a good drop, sharp hit, hail etc could damage it but overall fairly sturdy.
I bought the panel as a supplement to my rv batteries. I don't plan for a total solar rv life, for that you'd need an entire roof of panels. I dry camp with very few Necessities, although i have have tv and microwave, i think they negate the reason i went camping in the first place. So my power requirements are minimal. Having said that, on pliminary tests i'm receiving well above 12v at 5.4 amps in direct sunlight, not really orientating the panel for correct angles or shadows. On overcast moments volts were still high but amps dropped to a fluctuating 3-4 amps. These are just pliminary tests in the back yard, i've yet to use it in the field.
So, i'm not a person trying to run an appliance/light from the panel. I'd imagine at that rate one would only get Approximately 60 watts or so from this 100 panel. (Don't Start the argument of 100 Watts from a hundred watt panel? That's research you'll have to do on your own.) and it would constantly fluctuate. Rather i'm just trying to "pour" a little electricity back into the reservoir from which i'm dipping. My electrical needs are minimal anyway. Only lights, stereo, occasionaly furnace and water pump, and what the frig requires for electronics. I run the frig off propane and it consumes an average of about 3/4 of a pound a day. I'd imagine at the rates i'm suggesting i'd eventually run the battery dry, but this gave me a potential extension on battery life.
This panel was not purchased to save money nor the environment but as a supplement to my energy needs. i do have a portable generator, but for those times when prohibited or impractical, i believe the panel will extend my batteries. At present, camping dry i get 3 solid days out of 2 deep cycle batteries. This panel should extend that. All info is so that you may compare your energy needs to what i normally use.

We ordered the 200 watt complete kit. The initial shipment notification was immediate, as was the shipment "voided" notification. After waiting the weekend, I called to check on the order. The Customer Service Rep. looked into the matter and called back. We were able to workout a substitution for and out of stock component, receive a credit and get the order shipped. The order arrived when scheduled . The quality of the components appears excellent and complete. Overall a very good experience. I'd recommend Renogy to anyone looking for quality products at an affordable price. Looking forward to getting this kit installed on our travel trailer and heading out for the summer.
