Great service!

I put in a query to Alastair and he responded quickly and in full detail, answering all my questions clearly. As I live in the UK but am travelling to the US later in the year, he found me 2 almost identical rings, both sourced with top-notch diamonds, one from a US site and one from a UK site, so that I could see how they compared for price. I can't recommend Alastair enough, and when I switch from "browsing" to "buying" I will definitely be going back to him!

Very helpful source of info and advice

I learned about Alastair's website when I read an article on The Guardian. I find his website, www.ringspo.com, very helpful in learning the basics about the diamond. It also has a good search engine. What I most appreciate is Alastair's prompt and very helpful response to my email inquires. There are lot of complexities in the diamond pricing that the basic 4C's can not explain. Alastair helped me to sort of those. He did his own research and made a recommendation of a diamond that fits with my preference and budget. You know what? I actually purchased the stone the following day!

Highly recommended, helps you make the right choice when buying an engagement ring
