Reasonably slick for round wound bass strings. Nice sustained tone. At first, this flatwounder took a little time to process the tone change. I do hope you will have a flat wound bass string soon. Dr Legends are my fw go-to's until then.

I have been buying Stringjoy strings since they have started many years ago. The biggest thing is the tone of these strings have. They are comfortable to play and since I am part time player at best, have not had any trouble with the quality of these strings. Today I have purchased 3 sets for my strat style guitars. I have not strayed from Stringjoy and Scott Marquat for any reason. My guitars and basses are tonal giants with their strings. Thank you Stringjoy for bringing on quality strings to this market. And if you have any problems with picking out a set, just call them for a recommended set. Its worth the call.

Getting my Baritones to low G and low E standard (29.75" scale lengths) was a breeze with the tension calculator and the custom sets. The strings are so full sounding, with good body AND brightness for the lower notes, and they feel comfortable without being flabby or too loose like the other low-tuning sets I tried.

Definitely my favorite strings to use on my basses, they feel great on my fingers, great string to string tone, and they have a long use life (they don't lose their clarity and tone as fast as some other strings)

These were the best strings I ever played, I cant tell you just how durable they are because a guitar tech accidentally broke one of the strings while doing something unrelated to string tension or anything like that.
