These strings have made two of my favorite guitars sound as Ive always wanted! FINALLY! I have 2 rosewood and sitka topped Martins. A Custom 15 (an early HD-28) and my J-41 Special that has a mic pickup inside. I could never get that crisp attack and cut on the wound strings with either guitar. Not anymore! And, 3 weeks of playing the set is still brighter than the authentic strings I was using when they were new. The playability is excellent and the guitar is better when plugged in as I don't need to add treble (feedback) or subtract bass (no warmth or acoustic goodness) with the Stringjoys. I won't use anything else on these two. Finally, Im ecstatic about how they sound.

No personal horn tooting here!! but as a player for 59 years, and a tech in some of the most famous shops in the world. I can honestly say these are probably the best strings I've played...and being able to custom build a set makes it even better!! Are they worth the $? well I remember $2 guitar string sets.. But in todays world stringjoys are just a few bucks more than greatly inferior strings, so these seem to be worth it.. I'm still relatively new to stringjoy, so check back in a few months after the honeymoon ends.

I've been using Stringjoy nickel wound Signatures for a couple of years and always loved their rich sound.
On a whim, I bought a set of Broadways and tried them out. To my surprise, I like these more than I like the Signatures, at least when I am going for more "bite" to my tone. These seem to have more of a sizzle to them.
