They sounded OK, but nowhere near good enough to make them worth the cost. I prefer the sound and price of the Martin SP's better.

I have a guitar that sounds a bit boxy and a little cheap. Nice guitar, but as soon as strings are a week or more old the sound becomes unappealing to me. Stringjoy strings changed that. Rich tone, even across the guitar, records like a dream, strings have held up for a month. Amazing!

Immensely pleased with my experience buying from Stringjoy! Their blog is hugely informational and gave me some inspiration for what to aim for. After trying a few sets and tweaking gauges I’ve landed on their pure nickel Broadway strings in .009 .0105 .012 .022 .034 .046 - not exactly “balanced” but I find having extra thin string on the high end and slightly chunkier strings on the bass side works really well for blues, allowing me to alternate between chunky rhythms and smooth lead lines and fills. 10/10 would recommend!

Using these on a Martin for bluegrass. Clean and clear as a bell, and loins enough to hang in a band contest. I also have a set on a resonator in open D tuning while I wait for a custom set to be delivered and they are doing well there too.

I have only bought the acoustic guitar strings once because I rarely play my acoustic. The strings sound great and being able to get the gauge I want is really cool! I do, however, use the Broadways on my Kiesel and they both play and sound wonderful! I love the fullness, the tonal response and the way they play better than any other string I’ve ever played. And that is coming from a guy that started playing when I was 13 years old and I’m now 75. I have played on every set of strings made, and there is no comparison imho! I am on a subscription and it’s almost a shame to put the new strings on because the old ones are still playing so responsively and haven’t really lost much in overall sound. That said, I am a real stickler about washing my hands before each time I pick up my guitar and I’m fanatical about wiping my strings down when I am done! Stringjoy has a permanent customer here as there just is nothing better and, the customer service is incredibly good. I can send an email telling Tom what strings and my gauges and I always get a prompt reply and next thing you know, they are at your door. Great job everyone!!
