I never used to get excited about bass strings because they all sort of sounded the same to me. I can honestly all that has changed with StringJoy - these strings sound like how I always wanted my bass to sound. I’ve used custom sizes on 30”, 32” all the way up to 37” scales and they never disappoint. Customer service is top tier as well. The strings sound and feel great. I was very happy, but had an issue with the low B string (not a problem with the string, just a mismatch with my particular bass). They were very responsive and sent me a few strings to test. Problem was solved and I'm a happy customer. You don't find customer service like that very often. I highly recommend you give them a try. Best strings ever. I used it first on my Koa McPherson 5.0. First thing I noticed was how well it kept it’s first tune up. Then I think it brings out the real sound of Koa (unplugged). The only reason I haven’t ordered more is I’m still playing my first set. I do plan to order more and probably get a couple extra to give away.
