I am impressed after playing the PB 11 / 52's for the past few weeks. Once they are installed and "stretched" a bit, they hold tune nicely. Just a tweak or two needed. The tone I get from my acoustic archtop is very good. The right hand glides over the strings. No irritating finger noise. I noticed no fall off in the tone over the time period I have had them on. I do not use my amp so it's all guitar.
They are definitely worth a try.

Light, lively, full and with no loss of full spectrum tone. They stay in tune. They sound as full on my Martin 000C1E unplugged as they sound when amped up. So far in my 50+ years of playing and 20+ years using this guitar, I've not been able to match these strings with any others.
In the photos is my 000C1E and an Etude magazine from 1933. The cover directly relates to instrument strings and illustrates that, for at least 87 years or more, strings have been paramount in our musical endeavors.

These strings play absolutely amazing. I'm not sure how other brands with the same exact gauges aren't as "slinky" but these feel very natural, bend well, etc. Took a little longer to stretch them out, but after a little extra play I didn't have to keep tuning. I think these strings are great for certain applications. One man's bright is another man's tin-can treble. One man's warmth is another man's muddy tone. The warmth is nice, but I feel something is lost sonically with them. They're not as dynamic as the D'Addario NY XLs I usually go with. I wonder if I wouldn't like a set with the more traditional gauges. The good news is that what I don't like about them on my electric guitar, I would probably like on my acoustic, so I'll be giving those a try.
