I put my new strings on my Gibson ES 235, and my Les Paul Custom. On both guitars the G string sounds twangy and stands out over the other strings. I’ve had to turn the tone knobs all the way down to quite the twang. It’s still annoying on the ES 235. All the other strings blend nicely with each other and have a great sound. Please take a look at this G string issue.

Yes, I did buy a set of bass strings from you, and I'm more of a surprise than disappointed because I overlooked what length the strings are. Normally, a set of strings from, say, D'addario would fit all my basses, from medium to long scale. I didn't keep the envelopes but I suspect that those Stringjoy are medium, so naturally, short for my Kiesel, US Master, Sire Marcus Miller...to name a few.
That being said, I had no choice but to put them away for they are no good now after being cut. The sad thing is I didn't even get a chance to try them, for I enjoy the acoustic/electric set so much.
I've got a couple dozen of guitars and basses and intend to switch to Stringjoy when the time comes. I just need to be careful next time.
