I wanted to try lighter strings, but my arthritic hands , which are used to acoustics, tend to squeeze too hard.
So I got a set with equal tension, or as equal as possible across the fret board.
10-13.5-17-24-34-42.
tensions were even as possible.
I expected that the bass side would be not as loud,and I might have to adjust neck tension due to the lighter bass strings not having as much clearance up the neck due to less tension.
I could adjust loudness to some degree with pole pieces, and neck clearance with truss rod.
All in all, it has worked fine for me and i will probably try a similar combo another time.
I really appreciate being able to pick the strings I want.
For years I have used 12s or 13s due to being an acoustic player, and I find it hard to "lighten up".
Thanks for helping me to enjoy better strings and CUSTOM at that at the regular price.
I will be ordering again soon.

Do they last? These strings certainly last considerably longer than, say, D'Addarios. If I'm playing regularly, I can get 3-4 days out D'Addarios. I can get 2.5 weeks out of these Stringjoy's.
Do they feel good? In my view, yes, they have a very nice feel under finger.
Do they sound good? In short, yes. My guitar has a darker, richer tone than many. These strings are less bright than other brands of phosphor bronze that I've tried. So, in my case, the result has been a somewhat darker, smoother tone than I'd like. I find myself drawn to play a lot of fingerstyle stuff when I have them on my instrument.
My overall assessment is that these are really good strings, although given the character of my instrument, they're not ideal. Having said that, I still think they're better than any others I've tried.

So far, these are my favorite strings for my Taylor 812. I am mainly an electric player so I love the lower action and lighter gauge strings.
