I don’t understand how the rating system is s’pose to work. Both the electric and acoustic strings sound good. The electrics I have played longer and they have held up well. The acoustics I put on my Martin D-35 and they feel lighter but the guitar needs no adjusting because.

I feel the 9.5's give a fuller tone than 9's and you have lesser tension tha 10's. As I get older I have less strength in my hands and the ability to still stretch the strings and still have a full sound is a plus. So 9.5's are great for a old degenerator like me
