Sustain, tone and volume are even and well balance on all strings. All things considered Stringjoy strings are the best sounding strings I've used. The Prosper Bronze strings do discolor fairly quickly but that's not a real issue, it's all about the sound and they sound great. If you're shopping for inexpensive you won't find it here but if you're looking for quality you found it.

I have tried every major string manufacture looking for a favorite acoustic string. They all had subtle differences, but nothing that would make me brand loyal. I started looking at boutique strings. I had tired several brands before Stringjoy and had similar results. Every brand was good, but nothing stood out to my ear. I put the Stringjoys on and really loved them. They sounded like what I heard in my head. Played them the second day with the same excellent results. I picked up another guitar with a different set of strings and that confirmed it. With these strings I can hear every nuance much clearer. These are MY strings now!

My honest opinion on these strings, Awesome! They feel slinky (easy to bend) and last a long time. I’m not one that wipes my strings off, BTW. Also I like the fact they’re not sticky when your playing outside when it’s hot and humid out. Something else cool is you can change gauges in your set anytime by a simple email! I like the fact that they’re warm and bright at the same time. I like to run them tuned a half step down on a maple neck and standard tuning on a rosewood neck. I highly recommend giving them a try, I’m a fan!!!

After spending a fortune on a five string bass guitar, I learned that I almost never use the 'G' string. I still have my four string bass, so I came up with the idea of stringing it with B-E-A-D tuning. The narrower neck makes it much easier to play. Now, with String Joy,.
