I love how custom these sets are. That alone would be pretty unique even if they weren't of this high quality. They feel and sound great as soon as you put them on. I don't play enough to offer an in-depth review. But every time I pick it up it's in tune!

I chose gauges to create progressive tension from the low to high strings in an attempt to mimic the feel of a multiscale instrument. Use the tension calculator to try and go from ~20 pounds of tension on the lowest string down to ~10 pounds of tension on the highest string. These are my preferences of course; depending on your style and the thickness of your pick you may want to choose a different range.
You will have to make compromises in the size of each "jump" from string to string since not every gauge of string is available. For example, the tension of my G and D strings are about equal to facilitate more even steps down to a .008 on the high E. Having tried the Balanced Tension set before, I vastly prefer the Progressive Tension approach. If you have a 26.5" scale 7 string like I do and want to play in B standard and Drop A I chose:

With these thoughts in mind, I don't LOVE the strings. I don't dislike them either; they just don't stand out above the crowd. (In fairness, the strings have not been on long and still need to be broken in.) I desperately wanted these to "wow" me and they simply haven't done it (so far).

I have mounted the strings on a 175 Gibson. The sound is wonderful it has the depth of the piano with the attack of the guitar. The sound is bright and deep. The low E 0.58 favors the accompaniment the rhythms are clean powerful and defined. Before I used a compressor on my pedalboard, now I have definitely eliminated it ... no longer needed
