At first, I really liked these strings. They stayed in tune almost right after I strung them up. However, I have been using elixir strings for a long time and the coating on those still out performed the stringjoy strings in the long run.

I do metal and a lot of drop tuning. I play these on three of my five guitars and I feel like I should get another two sets. The strings sound really great to me. The tension is good and consistent. I don't get fret buzz, sloppy string play or bad intonation. They just do it. I really like them and got nothing bad to say. Try a set and rock on.

Overall a great set of strings.
I play I D standard with .050, .065, .095 and .115. the higher tension of these guages compared to other brands suits my tuning and aggressive play style better than any other string I've tried.
As for tone they were dryer than I expected without a lot of higher over tones, but I found that they work great with my active EMG pickups and biting mid-range distortion.
My only complaint and the reason for not giving 5 stars is the taper off the .115. I would have preferred it to start just a bit sooner so as to avoid wrapping the full guages around the tuning peg. With larger Fender style pegs wrapping the full 115 may be ok but I felt that on the smaller Schaller style tuners wrapping full guage should be held to .105 or less, but that's just my opinion.

Really great strings I purchased both full sets and singles….for my yamaha Revstar 502TI had an issue with a competitors string ie the G 3rd I kept breaking their wound 3rd…..yours are standing up perfectly.
