I have this lightweight ash body Strat, but regular 10s kills the tone. The guitar has a wonderful tone with 11s and a heavy 6th. string but it is difficult for me to play. You suggested your 10.5-56 set and they are perfect. I tune down a half step, and the tone is awesome. Easily the best sounding Strat that I have. Everyone loves to play it. Thanks much.

I've used Elixers on my Taylor for years, and tried these just to mix it up, but wow do they blow them away! The 1st and 2nd strings especially have fantastic resonance and volume, and they make the timbre across the strings so much more uniform than I've ever heard it before. My one complaint is that the 6th string doesn't have as much bass and volume to it as I'm used to, but the balance of the set as a whole definitely makes up for that. I'm very impressed and will be a returning customer!

Really like these strings!! Honestly, they are superior to any electric guitar string I’ve ever played, and I don’t say that flippantly. There’s slightly more tension but it’s slight. But way more tone. Bell like. Rounder. Lower lows, present miss and killer highs. And I think there is more sustain. They are definitely worth a try. And their customer service is stellar. They felt a little stranger at first, because the low E on the 10-48 was slightly bigger than I’m use too, but after about 10 minutes of playing them they feel amazing. I’ve had them on for about a week and the consistency of each strings tension levels had remained the same unlike other strings I’ve used.
