I think I will try the extra light next time. The super light has a great sound but not exactly what I’m looking for. The 5 and 6th string have a muffled or almost a coated string sound. Over all the strings sound great. However, after a short amount of play and even after some finger ease. The strings feel very dry and worn, yet the tone is still good.

I have the mediums on a Martin D Jr. They have been on the guitar for over a month, and it still plays like they are new. I occasionally put the Strongjoy conditioner on them, and wipe them down after every time I play, but I’m blown away with the sound and feel. I have the lights on my Martin 000-15m, and they are in the same shape. I switched to Stringjoy as an experiment, after being frustrated with the Martin SPs feeling like they needed to be changed after 2 weeks.
The string joys cost a bit more, but last at least 3x as long and sound great. Seems like a winning proposition. Plus the customer service is top notch!

It was time for a new set of strings for my Sire V7, so I decided to take a chance on a set of Stringjoys. I liked the fact that they are more “handmade” than other brands and that they are made right here in the U.S. After a month of regular use, I am very pleased with all aspects of their performance. Nice bright tone, nice finger-feel and responsiveness, and they are holding intonation as well as any set I’ve ever used. More particular users will like the fact that you can choose the exact gauge you want for each string— not limited by a few preselected options. First time I’ve seen that type of flexibility. Long story short, these are very good strings!
