Ive tried many brands in many sizes i play standard only ive tried from hybrid to dr tite fits and these are perfect for heavy riffs and light enough for shred and solos but not loose like rubber bands i love these strings i might go to .52 but so far theyre f***ing amazing!!!! I think ima stick with this company from now on and the option to change string gauge anytime!!! Just one con but i understand why but i wish they were a little cheaper xD still awesome strings and i love them as soon as i can ill buy more and keep experimenting \m/

The strings did last a long time, & the tone is probably perfect for many people, just not for me.
Pros: string life, held tune very quickly
Cons: (at least on my guitar) tone was not as bright & clear as I like. The tone was not necessarily bass heavy but low mid heavy...it was just too “thick.” I found myself constantly tweaking tone on my guitar, amp, & pedals (that have tone control), but I could never get it back to sounding like it does with Dean Markley Blue Steel strings.

Put them on my new B&G Little Sister and was disappointed in the sound of the G,B,and high E strings compared to the stock strings. Just did not ring out and sustain like the orignals. However putting them on my Epiphone Casino hollow body made it really come to life. It already played great but the String Joy's made it really sound out and they were so much easier to barre chord all up and down the neck. Great improvement and I will use them from now on with the Casino. Every guitar has its own personality. As for the String Joy strings, they are first class and are made about two hundred miles from my Tennessee home over in Nashville. I give the strings give stars and the finikiness of my Little Sister give stars also. Like a woman, she can be very picky.
