I've been working with the Heavy Bottom 10-52 Nickels for about couple 3 weeks now on a Korina V and so far I'm loving these strings. First thing I noticed was the kind of great vocal quality I look in a nickel string.
Sweet rounded mids and highs w/o the the brittle spikes that are typical in certain other strings. And a nice full low end w/o being flubby. The 2nd issue for me is tension. I'm a very bendy player and really dislike fighting stiff strings. So I was a bit nervous when I heard a little "snap" in these strings. But quickly discovered the "snap" was tonal and not physical. Looking forward to trying these on my LP and Strats. So 3 weeks in with daily playing, and the strings still have that fresh vocal sustain. I have "Stringjoy".

Before ordering my first set of Stringjoys for my Gibson CL-20, I emailed the owner, Scott Marquart. I described my playing style (James Taylor finger style) and described particular dissatisfactions with strings I have tried over the years. He responded "How bout trying a set of the custom guages James Taylor plays?
I've been playing them for three weeks now. Bingo. Bang-on.
After that I wrote to him describing dissatisfactions with string response on my Eric Clapton Stratocaster (Lace Gold series pickups). Scott recommended another custom set.
Problem solved.
