I ordered customized sets because I wanted somewhat heavier strings as I tune my guitar down 2 steps. I also prefer a wrapped string for the high string on the 5th course instead of a plain one. Stringjoy is the only company that offers the option of customizing string sets to suit a guitar player personal tastes. I will continue to use their strings and recommend the to my friends.

I love these strings. They sounded great with no break-in period where they "sounded new". I have a 6 string that I have very specific needs for specific string gauges. String Joy allowed me to build a set to my exact specs at no more cost than one of the standard sets they offer. They also were behind in production when I ordered 2 sets. They sent me one set as soon as they could (In fact, two days earlier than they said they would) and sent the other set once production caught back up. I cannot recommend this company and their product any higher!

I spent about 2 hours shopping around online for the right combination of string sets to get all the gauges I wanted, with the least outlay of $. Nobody makes a set, signature series, or otherwise that works for me. Then I found Stringjoy, and was able to select every string to create a set perfectly suited to my needs. It took me about 3 minutes to select and order two sets. Still spent less, and didn't have any useless strings left over. What's your time worth?

I took these and put on a 64 instead of a 62. They feel and sound great on my RGD! The 10.5s felt much more comfortable than 11s on the 26.5" scale. I think I may play around with some of the gauges on the lower strings but the set is still pretty spot on for what I like.

I'm using the 80/20 strings right now and I get the balanced tension thing you've been talking about. Very nice. For nine years I've been using D'Addario Flat Tops because they help me avoid finger squeaks on the strings. If you ever do something like that I'll be a customer for life. Heck, I might be any way.
