I've been very happy with the feel and tone of Stringjoy strings on all of my electrics and my acoustic. Now, playing baritone guitar for nearly a year, I was pleased to see that there are several options (and customization) for the latest addition to my collection. I recently went with slightly heavier strings on the baritone than I originally started with and I have yet to put them on, but I think these will be just what I'm looking for. I would like try flat wounds at this heavier string gage. Perhaps there's a custom option that I haven't yet discovered.

They sent me this set by mistake. I wanted a 0.15 "B" actually. But guess what? I loved it!! I have tried every brand, core, material, and gauge out there. Believe me. There is always something missing, something not quite right, and there has to be something better out there. But Stringjoy Balanced Medium Gauge (11-50) Nickel Wound were perfect! Nickel plated strings with a higher content of nickel is exactly what I was looking for to match my Fender American Strat with 54' custom pickups. These hex-core feels like round-core but with the crunch and sustain of hex-core strings. Feels and sounds good too. Play clean or dirty and they are versatile. It brings back the sound I was familiar with in the 1970s. Tunes up almost immediately and intonates perfectly. Solid stuff!

It is hard to articulate but these strings seem to blend tonally with each- especially with the lighter gauge strings. The have a nice warm tone as well from the start. There is no break in period like most other brands I’ve used. I am anxious for my acoustic string to wear out so I can order my next set. Great strings as advertised.
