The custom string I got for my SG were absolutely fantastic. I selected the same gauge sizes as James Hetfield's "papa hets hardwired mastercores" from ernie ball. Stringjoy absolutely blows them out of the water in my opinion, they're heavy, warm sounding and have the perfect crunch with high gain. Cannot recommend Stringjoy enough since the very first pack I tried I refuse to use any other brand again.

Overall , these strings sound great and they play comfortably. The one issue i found with them is they don’t last. They corrode quickly and I have broken the D string in a week of playing. I did like the clarity and might use them again in the future.

I can’t recommend Stringjoy Broadways enough! I was hesitant to try something besides my beloved D’Addario NYXLs, but after only a few days with the Broadways I never want to go back to any other strings. They have a beautiful rich sound with lots of depth and character. They also last a really long time holding their tone and stability much longer than any nickel plated strings I’ve ever used. I find I’m changing strings less often, and I’ve yet to break a single Broadway!

The strings aren’t bad. But for the price and the hype they aren’t better than my D’Addario NYXL’s. They are just a bit on the dull side and could be brighter. They lacked the crisp new feel to them and felt like someone went budget on the nickel. I’ve been playing for 33 years and am a recording/touring pro. I know what I like by feel and whole string joy isn’t bad, it’s not good.

Tone and feel met my expectations, if not exceeded. Balanced tension worked great with my double locking guitars. Strings wore well and as expected, did not experience any breaks with heavy use. I love the ability to order custom string sets- I have some guitars in drop tunings and it's very nice to be able to order a set with an extra beefy low E string without cannibalizing other sets or ordering singles. My only complaint is that the really big strings (.070 or bigger, that kind of thing) don't come tapered, so that you either have to drill out the tuning peg to get them to fit (irreversible and easy to screw up) or you have to unwind them a bit to get them to fit (tedious). For that reason I order 6 string sets through stringjoy, but not 7 or 8 string sets, since other manufacturers do this for their bigger string sets.

Bought sets of strings for my Seagull acoustic 12 String and my Telecaster. The 12 string sounds amazing - very bright and 'jangly', Roger McGuinn would be happy. The nickel strings on the Tele also sound great - just the right tone and very easy to play.
