I got this feeder extension because we are planning to go on a one week vacation, and I didn't want to have to have someone stop in every day or two just to make sure my cat's feeder is working. The extension extended (no pun intended) the refill time to over 4 days, so that he needs to be visited only once while we are gone. This feeder (and it's extension) works great and makes our life much easier. More important, my cat is maintaining his proper weight.

You can tell this feeder is made with love and hard work. It is a machine that can take the elements, so it is worth the price

Easy to put together including the timer. Works correctly each and every time.

The unit is very nice. I am having trouble with the digital timer. When the unit is supposed to be dispensing (programmed 5 minute interval) it doesn't energize. The digital timer display board just flashes through all possible displays. When the 5 minute interval is over the display goes back to non-flashing normal display without ever dispensing. The digital timer is on a GFCI circuit. Could that have something to do with the flashing?

Setup was pretty easy to follow, both the video and the written instructions. The only issue was the one screw that seemed to not catch for the metal retaining strap. I used a wider screw of my own and it worked fine. So far the whining for food seems to have stopped. She gets three meals a day for a total of 2/3 cup. Setting up the 6 AM feeding seems to work well for our sleeping sake.

This is a good digital timer. it is easy to program and has 12 possible on and off times which works great for the Super Feeder. It also has two outlets that are on the sides which greatly reduces the depth of chords sticking out of outlets.
My only issue with the timer is that the digital display is hard to read. Unless i'm holding this up to my face all i can see are all the options highlighted. Looking at it while it is plugged in, it is nearly impossible to see what exactly it is saying. A few more dollars spent on a better display would have been helpful. That said it does come with an internal battery and i can always pull it from the wall and look at it directly.
