I can’t say enough about this keyboard and also the service I got from the VK team. The mellotron is so easy to use in composition- or just to have fun with. I’m already using it on my first project for TEDxCincinnati!

Sounds flawless. The headphone amp is truly exceptional, my headphones all now sound like the best versions of themselves. Not only is the ADC and DAC excellent (truly mastering-grade stuff here), but the onboard output EQ is also very, very good. I was able to ditch room correction software and simply measure the room myself and tune things by hand right on the MT48. I have the best translation I've ever had thanks to this thing.

I also don't record much these days, but the few times I have, the preamps have been absolutely world class, you can certainly depend on the built in preamps in this thing on their own.

However, the best endorsement I can give the MT48 is that I don't have to think about it. It does its job day in and day out, the firmware is rock steady on both Mac and Windows, and it just gets out of the way of making and mixing music.

It may sound expensive on paper, but in terms of value you'd be very hard pressed to find this level of quality and feature set in a similarly priced unit.

This mic is amazing! and they make amazing mics all made in the USA!! I have used this mic on vocals, kick drum, and electric guitar cabs and it does well on every source.

One thing that I love about their mics is that they come with a great case that has laser cut foam. So these mics stay safe when not in use. I really dont think you could get a better mic, made in the USA mic, for the money. I am planning on getting more of their mics in the future

Over the years, compressors have helped me mangle, pump, krush, and fix my tracks. I like what they do. This one is a clean smoother. Not dramatic. Good mix in, polished good mix out. Not too finicky. Dead quiet. I like tubes, but this guy isn't tube-y. Very nice piece of kit. Cheers

Sounds as good as my chandler limited stuff and is virtually noiseless the hpf and lpf take care of any room noise pretty easily even with my fans

I went from the cheapest monitor stands that I’ve used for years with no noticeable problems to these and wow! The sound is so tight and lovely through my Footprint 01’s on top of the anchors, and now im not afraid of them being shaken off of the stand from people walking in the studio!

Anyone looking into TT patch bays knows there is some sticker shock but Redco gives a lot or performance for a reasonable price point. I have four Redco's and I appreciate the contrast between the silver face and black inputs grouped in pairs. Visually it makes it easier to see especially if your vision isn't perfect. Another highlight is the rear shelf to help support the DB25 connectors.

I have been using a pair of Genelec G One’s as computer speakers with excellent results but I realized I could optimize the experience by raising them closer to ear level. The stands are very robust and were easy to mount. Customer service at both Vintage King and Genelec was top notch.

My second Six, use them an Apollo x-4 and Arturia x-8 ADAT I/0. Use two channels on both Sixes for buss mix downs using the on board buss compressor. I use the Buss “B” for tracking the mono channels when the X-4’s unison channels aren’t what I was looking for. All three units makeup at great little song writing studio during my retirement! Brad

There is no question that analogue summing in the 5059 is superior to digital summing in pro tools. The 5059 sounds warmer, punchy, and natural. I found that when summing in the box with pro tools I have to mess with levels all the time “ride the faders” . With the 5059, multiple mics on a guitar for example just seem to naturally meld into a unified signal where as summing in pro tools, these same tracks never sound quite right, almost like they are competing like bickering children.

Functionally, controls are solid, pan features are odd at first but now I love them. Having silk is great. Inserts work very well as does having second stereo output.

Overall an outstanding unit and indeed is the perfect analogue starting point going into MBP and/or MBT, MBC.

Lush, spacious and detailed. Excellent mic(s) - even better if you get a pair of them. Great for vocals, strings, drum OH, acoustic instruments, guitar cabs, you name it. Very well built, high quality throughout! I like that VK's tech goes thru it so you get a microphone that should be reliable for many years to come.

This is a fantastic product. I wanted to try it out because I am also considering Melbourne's synths with Motorized faders. This control has the motorized pots but it also has the color LED panels, buttons with custom indicator leds.

First off, it is dead simple to use. Fantastic interface for the different modes and a well done learn feature.

While it has been said that the MIDI mapping mode is the least advantageous, I disagree. The learn mode works well. The Configuration App is really well done and a breeze to use. It offers some great options like being able to customize haptic points in the control pots. You can choose from continuous value with detents or stepped to intervals of your choosing.

The buttons allow you to create multi-step toggles, for example, wet/dry mix, make it x number of steps with custom labels rather than a continuous value.

If you choose the same midi channel and CC as the pot, the pot will move in sync with the toggled states on the button. And the text is configurable per button toggle step.

Example "Delay time" 40 ms, 80 ms, 640ms, .5 s, .75s, 1s etc...."

It's so good that you start thinking of how many cool things you can use it for. For example, all my MIDI guitar pedals are now controlled by it.

I wouldn’t have this as my only preamp, it’s far too colored. But the heft that it gives to the signal is a phenomenal tool and it’s proved itself indispensable. Even guitars recorded straight in sound excellent.
