Very pleased with the mandolin. Playable up the whole neck. Holds its tuning well. Nice clear sound with minimal noise and good sustain. Looks great. Scale is slightly smaller than my acoustic mandolin however still large enough to play chords. Performing with this mandolin straight out of the box. Well done Eastwood

I really didn't know that I was going to enjoy the Batwing mandolin as much as I have.

The sound quality thru my speakers is fantastic and I have been playing thru my pedals and have been playing jazz, blues and rock plus country and bluegrass. I am really enjoying my new mandoling.

Having never played slide guitar, I'm really enjoying the challenge. I received the Airline about a week after the order. It was well packed and in great shape. Workmanship on the instrument is very nice, the humbucker pickup sounds great and dealing with Eastwood was effortless. I own two 6-string Martins, Guild and Taylor 12 strings and a Fender Tele. This lap steel is a really fun addition!

This is a pretty awesome guitar. Fit and finish is perfect. Setup is just the way I like it. (How did you know?). Really well done.
I will be spending a lot of time with this guitar.

Excellent homage to a classic! Super light and. Fun to play. There is a minor buzz in the e strings that might be the saddle. Nothing but fun so far! I would recommend for anyone who ever wanted an H-35

This guitar is getting more attention than any other since it arrived. Leaving it here in my office in the chair next to me, picking it up often, just can't seem to put it away...

I took a chance on this guitar when Eastwood was running a discount offer. I'm very glad I did! The guitar plays and sounds great. It needs no mods and was giggable out of the box, which I was not expecting. All I did was change the strings to a set of my preferred gauges. I really like the pickups. They have that single coil clarity, but also sound much beefier than a tele or strat pickup, for instance. They sound great when you crank the amp and let it rip, too. Almost humbucker like, but with more clarity. A unique sound all their own. Some may find the control knob placement inconvenient, but I have an easy time adjusting to that kind of thing, so it's not a problem for me. Just a great playing, great sounding axe. If you're tired of the usual Fenders, Gibsons, etc, then this is a great alternative. One last thing... It'd need a pickup swap to do metal, but it can swing just about everything else. Highly recommended!

I've been playing for over 50 years and owned a number of classic vintage Fender and Gibson electrics but for now the Jetson Jr. is the one I can't put down. I don't mind the minimal basic features as I'm use to a single pickup 60s Melody Maker that I love for slide and I have all the special effects I need for tone. Out of the box this red Jetson Jr. needed a complete setup for my chicken-pickin finger style of playing with heavier strings. In particular the nut was way too high causing intonation problems. Fortunetly over the years I've aquired the skills to do my own set up and it now plays like a dream and sounds great. I also own an Airline Lap Steel that unfortunetly arrived with a significant flaw leaving me skeptical of the quality control, but Eastwood customer service was very responsive and personable in working out a mutually ageeable fix. Consequently I took a chance then with another Eastwood purchase on a discounted Jetson Jr. and I'm glad I did.

A basic, yet fantastic, sounding guitar. This is the perfect plug in and play guitar, with a great sound and simple operation. Plus it looks darn cool!! The neck is also a joy to play, great comfortable feel to it.

Would you ever feel the need to shred on a baritone, this is the guitar for you. The neck is slightly thin, the action impossibly low and the output high. The Zelinsky neck is weird but cool and to top everything off, it is light weight.

Small in size, tremendous in tone.

Looks just as I thought it would. Neck plays great. Plugging in is a must! Beautiful fit and find a classic but for the time . A revival of the nicest Mandolin design since the F models .

We have bought a lefty mad cat tele, aJerry Garcia Tiger Clone, two Twelve strings, a mando caster , all lefties. Eastwood has felivered unparalled service and support.

It has all the mail order catalog cheese and allure. Appearance is the main attraction for me. Pickups and wiring are what they are. It does play nice. But whoever decided to put the double fretboard dots in such weird places must have been throwing down some kind of challenge. At those times when I glance down there, I just see detour signs.

Thank you Eastwood. The delivery was fast and uncomplicated. My Airline Lap Steel arrived safely, and I'm very happy with it. It sounds terrific and resonates really well! My sole criticism (hence 4 stars) is with the nut. There was a sharp edge at the fretboard and when sliding the tone bar to the first fret it would catch uncomfortably on the palm of my hand. Certainly not a huge issue, but I did have to use a file to gently to take the edge off. The 5th and 6th string slots are a little small for heavier gage strings, for example open D tuning. I may have to deal with this at some point. Again this is not a major issue, but sometime to consider. Thank you again Eastwood!

This guitar absolutely rips. The gold color is beautiful and I love the matching headstock. I had a brief issue with the jack, but I tightened it up and it's working perfectly. Came set up well with low action and no fret buzz. Super lightweight as well (I think my chambered Duesenberg is the only guitar Inhave that's lighter).

Such great service. I only ordered this on Wednesday mid-morning, and on Friday I had Fed-Ex waking me up before 8am with a delivery from halfway around the world. I bought the gig-bag too, and the guitar was snuggly packed inside it, and all very secure in its outer box.

I didn't do a microscopic forensic inspection, but there were no obvious flaws or blemishes. However, the shade of green is significantly brighter and more Kermit-like than the moss green appearance of the online images. Luckily, that's not a problem for me, and the black controls contrasted against the off-white pickguard are still very appealing indeed. The factory-installed strings are certainly okay, although not particularly slinky under the fingers - but the neck is magnificent and I was immediately able to feel like I'd been playing it since forever.

The unplugged sound is strong and gives me great confidence for when I put it through an amp later on.

Probably the most stunning guitar I have ever put my hands on. Fits in the pocket wonderfully, plays like a dream, fast but comfy neck. This is my third and favorite Eastwood. Thought the knob placement was odd until I picked it up, do not get in the way at all.

Two downers in my opinion:
1. I could use a few more frets, its not terrible but it would be nice to have alil more room.

2. Neck pickup can sound washed in some cases. Fiddled with the height of it a tad and got it a little better but definitely a very low/middy range pickup.

All around my favorite guitar to own. Customer service was great!

This mando is my first Eastwood purchase so I had no idea what to expect but I assumed that at this price point I would be performing some basic setup stuff right away. It's not uncommon for overseas built instruments to need a little fret filing/polishing or action adjustment to get them playing their best. I was pretty shocked at the apparent level of fit and finish on this little guy, right out of the box the green paint job was miles beyond what I expected; a different hue than the original crowd fund images but much prettier! The binding and inlay work are very clean and the frets are smooth as glass. I can make use of every single fret on this thing and that's no small feat on a mandolin! The bridge and tuning hardware is all much more solid than I'd expect for this amount of money as well. The stock pickup is clean and nearly noiseless and the volume & tone pots are smooth-turning and usefully tapered. I have to admit, I was looking forward to being a nerd and upgrading this thing but I don't even know what I could do to make it better. The only thing I can think of as a possible nit-pick is that you're pretty limited as far as strap options as the strings are very low across the neck where the headstock breaks and there isn't anywhere to route a mandolin loop under the fretboard/pickguard, not really a big deal but I would personally rather not have to use a shoe string. Having said that, there's no way that this doesn't deserve the full five star rating. I'm very pleased with the purchase and will consider Eastwood products in the future as a result.
