esterday we bought a 3.5 tog love to dream transition sleeping bag and last night we put our 4 month old in it wearing a singlet and flano onesie. When we put him to bed the room temp was 18°c, when we went to bed an hour later the room dropped to 16°c I checked our sons chest to see if it was still warm and it was. I woke up around 11:30 and the temp of the room was 14.5°c I check our son to see if he was warm enough so I felt his chest and it was cold. Aren’t these sleeping bags designed to keep your Bub warm? How is their chest supposed to stay warm with just a thin bit of material covering their chest? After a while I put him in bed with us because his chest was cold and had to put blankets over him as well as being in the 3.5tog sleeping bag.

Hi Tamara - thank you for reaching out. While the 3.5 TOG products are designed to keep babies warmer in cooler temperatures, the chest area of the product doesn't have the additional quilted blanket, because this could cause your child to overheat, which is more worrisome than being cooler. Do you control the temperature in his room, in any way, with a heater?

I used to swaddle my baby with his arms down, when he would wake at night for a feed I would have to rock back to sleep. But the first night I used the love to dream arms up swaddle, I fed him and put him back in his bassinet and he suckled his hands to sleep. Works every time like a charm.

I was more assured that my baby won't be cold during the night. However, I wished that there's a blankie that can keep her hands warm during the night (gloves or built-in in onesies aren't making her warm enough).

He settles much easier when put to bed in these (rather than zip up swaddles when his arms are restricted)

I have got 2 of the 1 tog swaddles and now a 2.5 transition suit and I love all of them.
My son is 10 weeks old now and has always slept amazing in them!
I actually think I need to get another 1 tog swaddle in a larger size just for day naps as he sleeps so soundly in them.
