West Indies Miterless Wood Post Cap™ w/ Copper Pyramid
This post cap is well-designed. It is solid, fits a nominal 6x6 post perfectly, and the copper is durable and beautiful. It came packaged well so that nothing was damaged. This is my 2nd time purchasing this item, and I would return again the next time I need a copper pyramid cap.

Pyramid Miterless Wood Post Cap™
Up here in the PNW, a fence is a way to add beauty to a yard. We looked at all the local retail outlets for fence post caps, but they were something I can do in my woodshop. Then, our search led us to Georgia! These caps are gorgeous and finish well. I believe it is African Mahogany and it looks just right on our Western Red Cedar fence. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was my hope that these caps were all from the same board, that way, the finish would look uniform across our fence line. Still, this is a high quality product and I recommend them for your fence cap needs.

Just what I was looking for

Copper Pyramid Post Cap w/ 3/4" Lip
Purchased the 3 1/2" square caps to replace old "solar" caps that failed. These solid metal caps are just right. They are starting to acquire a green, verdigris finish, which is what I want. If you are hoping to preserve a shiny-new finish, these may not be for you, or you may need to polish or coat them with something.
One minor nit-pick: The screw holes are stamped / punched into the sides of the skirt; this results in an indentation on the inside of the cap which reduces the clearance about 1/8" to 1/4" (taking both sides of the cap into account). I had to grind down the indentations from the inside (not visible externally) about 1/16" to 1/8" per hole to get them to slip over the posts. Not a deal-breaker but be prepared. I took off one star for that.

Pyramid Miterless Wood Post Cap™
Fence post caps can be $5 at the big box stores, but you get what you pay for, and I have a feeling they are from a far off country made for even cheaper. I bought my fence post caps because my posts are a jumbo 4 by 4. Post Cap Depot had this size and even more depending on a customer's post dimensions. Since I live in the Pacific Northwest, I was looking for something that would compliment the fence I built with my wife. I must have thought these caps would be made of cedar since outdoor elements can be rough on woods traditionally used for interior furniture. My caps look to be made of Phillipine mahogany, a wood I have used in other projects always meant for interior usage only. Rather than return the caps, I forged ahead and applied a stain designed to keep the wood protected a little while in our climate. The craftsmanship on these caps are top notch, but I believe they need to be made out of a wood that can handle the elements.
