I just received my order of 4 of these for one of my decks. I have rough cut 6"x6" posts, but the two 8' posts that I cut in half were different sizes: 5 3/4" & 6 1/4". By sending an email, I discovered that a 6 1/4" is available by phone order, just not on the web page for this item. So I ordered 2 of each and they arrived yesterday. What a great fit. They fit so snug it only required a little persuasion from the palm of the hand to seat onto the post top. A little glue on the top of the cap for the copper and they were installed in a few minutes. I don't usually review items I purchase on the net unless there is something drastically wrong, or it's an exceptional purchase. This is exceptional due to the workmanship, ease of installation, and great customer service. It is really worth the $32.50, which is one of the highest that I looked at. I plan to order more in the future for a 10 year old front porch and another deck remodel next year.

These post caps are beautiful and meticulously finished requiring no additional sanding. I knew my posts were slightly wider than the post-cap opening so used a router to open them up about 1/8". The design is better that what I had before - less of a flat surface on the top - and will collect less standing water after rain or melting snow. I appreciate the great quality at an affordable price.

After doing a lot of research on post caps, I knew that these miterless solid mahogany wood post caps would be a purchase we wouldn't regret! Shipping was quick, and it was obvious that care went into packaging these post caps (not all thrown in a box). As for excellent customer service- I called to find out how far these caps would sit on the post and quickly received the answer of 1/2" from a friendly customer service agent. Upon my fault of not measuring correctly, we again had to call to purchase larger post caps (same style). Again, great customer service but would highly recommend measuring twice before ordering!! After seeing the high quality and beauty of the wood and design of these caps it is difficult to wait a few more days for the larger caps to arrive, but again, that was my fault so don't make that mistake.

just receive my caps and they are of the highest quality, not a bad one in the 10 I ordered.. I like the fact that they're one piece where all the others were pieced together. They fit snog on the posts not like some I looked at. The quality is what sold me on them. The mahogany is beautiful but I wished you carried them in other types of wood. It's the reason I didn't give them a five. The service was great too, arriving very quickly.
