I believe our tree is at least 4 years old and it finally has fruit. It was 4 feet tall when planted and is now 10 to 12 feet tall. Last year I called the nursery to inquire about the absence of fruit and was told not to expect any until the 4th or 5th year. We're happy! I might add that there were no blooms before the fruit appeared.

Evidently the fruit we saw was actually a bud that has now opened into a blossom which should eventually turn into fruit. Still hopeful!
