I purchased a 36"x36"x36" HVAC compressor cage after looking at other options on internet. The cost was approx 20% more for a MUCH better Cisco steel product ($385 vs $475). The Cisco is welded steel construction vs aluminum casted that ships free from Big Box Stores.
"A thief will steal it if they have the right opportunity." Steel construction is heavier, can take a sledgehammer blow, and takes longer to cut with a grinder (time = getting caught).
My summary is if I can deter a crook that does not care about destroying property for 20% ($100) more but he knows steel is harder than aluminum. I would take the steel.
The quality of product, customer help on purchase, packing and shipping of product were all 5 star. I will buy again if/ when I need to inhibit another HVAC compressor from being stolen.
