As someone with experience in customer service working for well-heeled individuals on their yachts, I feel I have a good idea of what “excellent” customer service is. Philip Kauppinen and his company exemplify that quality. When I sent in a previous review griping and complaining, I heard from the owner (Mr. Kauppinen) himself directly, I was impressed. When he called me directly and left his direct line number, I was blown away. He replaced the bracket without a second thought. I only wish more companies and politicians too understood the importance of taking care of those who buy their products or vote for them. I am a Grand New Flag customer for life.

I searched Amazon for a flag pole to install for the Fourth of July, but couldn't find any that were American made. It seemed wrong to use a made-in-China flagpole to display my American-made flag (flown at Pearl Harbor) on our nation's birthday. A google search led me to Grand New Flag. The product seems good and supported my flag fine during some very windy days over the holiday weekend. I was a little concerned about the plastic bracket. It held fine but time will tell if the sun and bitter cold will weaken it. Also, when the wind picks up the screws on the flag pole rings stick out and catch the clips when the flag blows around and this causes the flag to begin wrapping itself over the pole. Not sure if there's a good solution to this because you need a way to tighten/loosen the screws and it's convenient doing it by hand. Maybe some allen nuts instead that can be low profile? Anyway, I'm very happy with the product and especially the excellent and frequent communication from the owner, Phillip. My dad also served in Vietnam so I'm pleased to support his company and their mission to make their products in America and to support veterans.

Great quality flag - fast delivery

I leave a flag out 24/7 - 365 and have it lit at night. Since it is always out in the elements I really don't expect, nor have I ever gotten more than a year out of any flag. I've always flown a 3'x5' and decided to see what a 4'x6' looked like and it is nicer. It's only been up about a month. We get a fair amount of wind in Southwest Michigan so it remains to be seen how this flag will hold up. So far so good!

Bought the black flag pole and it was lighter and sturdier than expected. Glad to know a little goes back to our vets too!

The red was more maroon than expected. The stitching on the stars seemed a little loose, we'll see how it holds up.

While this has only been up on our pole for 24 hours, when we took it out of the packaging, we could tell it was a wonderful quality. It will definitely last much longer than our previous flag (purchased elsewhere and made in China).

A quick update from my last review. I tweaked the never furl kit by flipping the bushings so the connections to the flag face inward instead of outward (which is how the want you to install it) Also, i found it important not to over tighten the collars (stopping device). over tightening was causing a dimple in the pole which created friction as the bushings rotated in the wind. Now the flag rotates freely! I haven’t had any issues with it getting furled up and all. Its been a week or so with some strong winds and NO issues. Im adjusting my rating to a 5 star but i feel a 4.5 is justified. Its clearly a great product and is working as advertised but only because of my persistence in finding the best adjustments. I can see many people buying this and likely giving up on it because nobody wants to be bothered fiddling around with it like I did. Anyways hope this helped someone out there. -Memphis

I installed my flag on our new home in Tennessee. The 1st week we had very strong North winds (excess of 30-40 mph). Old Glory performed perfectly. I was very skeptical to spend that dollar amount for a flag assembly, but after extensive research, this flag pole assembly had all the qualities I was wanting. 1st and foremost; MADE IN THE UNITES STATES OF AMERICA!!! 2nd, it performs under extreme weather conditions. ( I hope I do not have to see how she does with winds at 100 mph or more, as claimed. OLD GLORY will be lit at night and flying proudly. The 360 degree rotation, without tangle, is a nice feature. It also acts as a wind vane. All said, I highly recommend a flag pole assembly from The Grand New Flag Co. Ya'll live in the GREATEST country in the world. Be proud and support her. Gorgeous, high-quality case, beautifully stained and finished inside and out. A shade or two darker than the photo, which makes it even nicer, I think. It fits and displays my Dad's veteran funeral flag perfectly and is worth every penny.

Great, simple flag bracket, with dual positions for when the flag is at half-staff. And very happy to know it's made in America.

Works very well, lighting the flags even when flying and sheds a nice illumination on the ground in a radius of 25'; however, it does not shine into the neighbors windows. So no complaints from them which is an added bonus! Easily charged and easily mounted - I recommend the Freedom Solar Disk Light to everyone!

The bracket seems fine. I like getting something USA made, esp flag related. Hopefully it will be strong enough and hold up as needed. It looks like the design is OK and if the material has good properties (it is said to be stronger than Nylon) it will meet the need we have for intermittent use at a historic farm site.

I needed a couple of flag holders quickly so I could install them during a short visit with my elderly mother. Grand Old Flag went out of their way to pack them, and get them to the post office office within a couple of hours so they would arrive before I had to leave. Great service! And the flag holders are excellent quality as well.

Flag material is excellent and the flag pole is study with a good finish. Make sure you know exactly where you want to place the mounting rings, because the thumbscrews will scratch the finish. Other than that, the flag and pole kit are just what we wanted.

This is a nice looking, heavy duty bracket. I screwed this directly into the brick on my house and it is solid. When it is installed properly, this bracket will not move even in heavy winds. I was looking to mount a couple of f;ags on a duplex I recently purchased, and it HAD to be American Made. Luckily I found one at Grand New flag. Fortunately I found one that even has cast in the side "Made In USA" This mount is perfect, very heavy aluminum & it even has a horizontal mount for flying at half-mast. Reasonably priced and shipped very quickly... you won't find a better mount anywhere !
