Love the stew meat, it's so versatile, especially when using your crock pot. I've made stew (of course), but also seasoned for tacos and burritos, cook low and slow all day for chili, and simmered with gravy til it's fall-apart tender for both rice and potatoes. It's tender and delicious, one of my favorites.

This steak was amazing. It had a large slice of fillet to go along with the sirloin and great marbling. The steaks arrived with plenty of cold padding and was in pristine condition. The steaks tasted great and better than the store. This steak did not have a gamey flavor at all which can be an issue with farm raised beef. 5/5 would highly recommend.

The Rib eye steaks we recently had from Heartstone Farm were honestly the best we've ever had -- and we've had many! Perfectly marbled and so full of flavor. Plus, having the opportunity to visit the farm made me feel so great about the meat I was consuming and the small business that I was supporting. Without a doubt, the best ground beef I have EVER had.

These hamburgers are delicious, flavorful and juicy. Each quarter pound slice measures almost five inches by one half in thickness. Sear the outside and cook not more than four to five minutes and you have one great burger!

Farmer Dan's steaks are the best--I have full confidence in every beef cut he sells. I regularly receive a griller box during the summer. The rib-eye steaks, in particular, are completely delish! You can't fake excellent quality meat--it either is or isn't. I love this grass-fed, grass-finished beef and only get beef from Farmer Dan now. Glad to support his business, too, a local Maine farmer! Beef is carefully packaged, and delivered in a timely manner. Couldn't ask for more.

I’m impressed and I am from NY. First the handwritten note card is a very nice touch. Now let’s begin with the liver. No metallic flavor, tender when cooked and sweet. The rib eye... that was next - not gamey tasting and although frozen it was delicious! I just ordered more liver and now bones. I’m on a carnivore diet so I need my meat to be top notch. The butcher in manhattan is much more money and frankly I’m just impressed. I don’t trust the supermarket meat because although it says grass fed is it grass finished? And where is it from??!

Tender, Great Flavor. I recommended

So I am relatively new to Heartstone Farm. To date I have tried the rib eye steaks which are flavorful and tender and so far my favorite. Now, having tried the filet mignon, my favorite steak has competition. The filet was tremendous, nice and thick and the most tender steak I have tried from Heartstone or any other purveyor. Great flavor, a real treat.

After receiving my last order from Farmer Dan, I made our favorite beef stew with Dan’s stew beef. The stew was so delicious we couldn’t stop eating it! I’ve made this stew many times before, but the grass fed stew meat made the favor so much better. We definitely will order more in the future.

So, a while ago I happened to come across a recipe in food network by Ina Garten (barefoot contessa), for beef short ribs. With the weather changing I though “just what I need, comfort food. I ordered six ribs from Heartstone Farm in addition to my regular order for ribeye steaks. I have previously purchased short ribs from my local supermarket so I assumed I would need 6. The short ribs Dan sent were substantially larger and beefier than any I had previously enjoyed so 4 ribs did the job. Wow, what a treat. The flavor was outstanding, I will order again to be ready for cold nights.

We love this beef! It is excellently packaged and so fresh when thawed. The chuck roast was wonderful as a meal in the slow cooker. We”be been eating Farmer Dan’s beef a few times a week, now, and the chuck roast is the same top quality as all the other cuts. Thank you!

Made a great tasting stew.

I was not going to submit a review for this because.....liver. I HATE liver! There, I said it. I have never wanted to eat it and only decided to bite the proverbial bullet because my health is severely compromised and everyone tells me liver will help. So - I ordered the liver. i literally prayed before eating it because I had always vomited when I ate liver, ever since I was a 2 year old. I could never stomach the taste. Well, imagine my surprise when I fried it up with tons of onions and salt and took a bite and was able to swallow it. Not only that, it was tender, flavorful but not with that awful strong, nauseating liver flavor but just a mild meaty flavor. I can eat this liver! I'm stunned and will ALWAYS get my liver from Heartstone Farm in the future. Good stuff!

The beef is good but took some time to get after order placed. However, I will try again, could have been a random issue. Also, I will post after the next order.

We bought Heartstone’s ground beef after attending Heartstone Farm’s open farm event. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the farm and its philosophy. The cows are HAPPY, living and eating on beautiful, grass fields with their herd. The farmers were compassionate and passionate of the cows and their work on the farm. They informed us of the practices in place and why they have chosen to raise beef cattle in this holistic, very natural manner. But most of all, you could taste it in the meat. Its delicious and juicy and makes you feel good that you're eating a happy cow!

Great beef and great service. The meat is packaged nicely and arrives completely frozen. The beef tastes great. I buy many bone-in cuts, and the amount of flesh is generous. Go Dan! My only suggestion would be to add heart, kidney, knuckle bones, and suet to the product list. There are so many reasons to eat nose-to-tail.

Good stuff from a friendly farmer. The real deal beef. Butcher could use some practice but that doesnt change it from being excellent beef.

Steak on grill; steak on plate; bite and chew; eyes roll back in head and mouth making yummy sounds. Other than posting a video, that's as graphic a description of this mouth watering steak as I can write. If you don't buy this beef, you are missing out on a real culinary treat.

The best burgers I have ever had. They are huge but taste so good. I would recommend these to anyone that truly loves great meat.

I received my order of 10 lbs Grass Fed Liver in such a timely manner and it was packaged very well. I'm not a fan of liver, but I know it's nutritional and I required to add it to my Keto diet. I'm still getting use to eating liver but this liver was not hard to consume. It was fresh and clean and I felt better eating it than liver I would buy from the local grocery or food market. Heartstone Farm has helped me take on the challenge of making liver part of my every day diet and now I feel I am acquiring a healthy taste for it. Thank You Heartstone Farm. I was so happy to find someone who sells cow tongue. It is delicious!!! We boiled it for 4 hours, let cool off, pull skin off, cut up and added to bowl of vinegar and onions. My husband loves it!!

Trying to satisfying my curiosity, what’s the difference between super market beef and grass fed, grass finished beef, I purchased a sample package from Heartstone Farm and have been hooked ever since. The quarter share works well for out family, plenty of steaks ( ribeye, T-bone, porterhouse, London broil, tenderloin), roasts (chuck, eye round, brisket), burger, short ribs, soup bones and more. I’ve made pastrami and corned beef with briskets, smoked a boneless Chuck Roast. This is the most flavorful beef I have ever eaten. I especially like dealing directly with the farmer, just a great group of people and animals. You gotta try it out.

My wife, her sister and her husband and I visited Heartstone Farm last Sunday for the open house. We all were very impressed with Dan and his crew and their dedication to providing the best quality grass fed beef. The farm is beautiful and peaceful and well worth the visit. We purchased some burger patties and I can say without a doubt they are the best. My wife’s sister purchased 2 T-bone steaks and 5 pounds of ground beef and have already re-ordered though the web-site more because of the high quality and taste. I would urge everyone to try out some of Heartsone’s beef because you will definitely like it.

I purchased my first set of hamburger meat the other week from Hearthstone Farm. I will never go anywhere else for burger meat now. My kids absolutely loved it and so did my wife and I. I highly recommend you pick some up and give it a try

The t-bone and ribeye steaks I ordered were delicious. I had family over this past weekend and we grilled them up and had a lovely dinner. This is a very nice product. You get both meat and bone with bone marrow. Some cuts have more meat and some have more bone. On average, the ratio is about 60:40 (meat:bone) by volume. These are too meaty to make stock, but perfect for soups. Soup bones do require several hours to cook, but the result is delicious.

We grew up in Romania, both my wife and I. Not that it matters. What matters is that we grew up with unprocessed meat, from our back yard small barns. Heartsone Farm is bringing back the taste of childhood. There are other suppliers out there, of course, but the quality of their meat, along with the price they are asking for it , is hard to beat. Aside,Farmer Dan is the way “ customer service” should be. Prompt. Enjoying the steak, yet?

Excellent meat - tastes like beef should taste.

We cooked the ribeye on the grill and it came out awesome! The steak was moist and so flavorful, no steak sauce, onions or peppers are needed, enjoying it just as it is so we could taste the real flavor of the steak. So happy to have found Heartstone Farm!

OUTSTANDING! Your liver tastes the way liver used to taste when I was a child, in the days before the world turned crazy, the days after the way when pesticides became "GOD" . I could not believe the taste in my mouth. It melted in my mouth. I chewed the soft tender delightful ............... It was like being home again. This is very good liver.
