The BEST ground beef I have ever had. The flavor is outstanding; I could eat this every day and never get tired of it. And let's not forget that this is local beef from the great State of Maine. Once you have tried this, you will ask yourself how you EVER ate cafo beef. . . . why anyone would, actually. Bought some local beef through a farmer's market a while ago - grass fed and finished, but it did not have the flavor profile of Heartstone. Don't know what grasses they eat, but it's working!!!

I just placed my third order of beef with Heartstone Farm, as I know I will not enjoy grocery store, or even butcher shop beef, as much now that I have tasted this grass fed beef. I have tried the T Bone, rib eye, burgers and sirloin. All are incredibly flavorful! We tried the Porterhouse this weekend-wow!!! The customer service is outstanding! I am notified each step of the way of the shipping process , from when my box is placed on the truck to when it arrives at my house, nicely packed in insulation that is made from corn and can be composted along with reusable ice packs. It is frozen solid! Farmer Dan has a new, loyal customer!!

Chicken the way it should be. I made a simple roast chicken and it was lovely.A far cry from the flavorless industrial product available at the grocery store.Costs a little more,but well worth the price.I'll be back for more.

No doubt the best steak I ever had. Of course grilling it the right way is the key to any steak. The flavor is unreal and blows away any store bought "steak" usually full of hormones. The only problem is once you have farm fresh grass fed beef you get kinda spoiled and other beef just can't satisfy. Farmer Dan is also a really cool guy and makes sure his customers are satisfied. I really should give 5-stars but the prices are just too high for me. I guess it's not the place to shop for us po' boys. But it's a nice treat when I can afford it. In fact, if I had the money I'd probably eat this beef practically every day. Yep, it's that good. But I just need to factor in price in my review. So I'm stuck with buying store bought steak until I can afford the good stuff.

This liver is great - for liver. What you need to know here is I do not like liver. Hate it! However, for my health I've been told to eat it once a week. Unfortunately it makes me vomit, just to prepare it. Forget about tasting it. This liver has rocked my world! I can prepare it and eat it. It has a mild, pleasant taste and smell which shocked me. I'm a fairly old person and have NEVER been able to eat liver until I tried this liver. I keep some in my freezer now, it's the only liver I will ever eat.

Best beef I've ever tasted

Received my 1st order 2/6/20. Have ground beef and yesterday a sirloin steak. I am a beef lover and I cannot believe how tasty the meat is. I will be ordering from Farmer Dan from now on. I would like to see cow feet available in the future I make bone broth weekly. Thank you and God bless.

Was there for the first time, very friendly associates. Purchased ribeye steaks to eat for dinner. Great marbling. Seasoned only with garlic salt and pepper. Cooked to medium rare. Great flavor and melt in your mouth!! Will definitely be making a trip back to purchase more. If you want great grass fed beef, this is the place. Well worth the trip.

These are the best soup bones you can ever get!! They make the best bone broth or soup. They're so meaty that it's a 1 for 2 purchase. You get lots of meat and lots of broth. The beef tongue was absolutely delicious. Shipping was fast to NJ with top notch packaging inside to secure it was fresh. It is such a rarity to see beef tongue on the market these days. I grew up in the 1980s where my family bought it smoked from the store. If there is a way for you to sell "smoked beef tongue", i would love it even MORE! Also, maybe in the future, there can be a way to buy a bigger piece at a time, in case there is a family bigger than 3 people. Overall, it made a great & early Christmas surprise for my family. While we have ordered several times from Heartstone Farm, we had never tried their Prime Rib Roast. It was everything we hoped it would be. Easy to cook. Thawed then let set to room temperature. Seasoned with salt and pepper. Seared the outside, put in the oven. Checked temperature with a thermometer. Delicious, very tender. Served seven with some left.

In the past 3-4 months I have purchased all of the beef my family consumes from Heartstone Farm. In addition to my favorite Ribeye steaks, I order and reorder the beef short ribs, tenderloins, beef liver and hamburger. As the weather gets “wintery” my go to Sunday dinner is Heartstones’ brisket of beef. It is terrific!

Exceptional quality and flavor, with fat that melts in your mouth like butter. My husband and find it very difficult to even browse the meat section in the grocery store after eating your beef. It really is wonderful.

The Heartstone Farm Brisket was tender and flavorful; my husband nearly finished the whole thing in one sitting! (And he only weighs 150 pounds.) I have re-ordered another.

Once again, Farmer Dan comes through with some stellar beef. I have found it is not only difficult to just find brisket in the grocery store, but to find brisket of high quality is a whole different search. The marbling on this piece of meat was awesome! We recently tried the short ribs and they were absolutely delicious! They were much larger than expected, perfectly marbled and very meaty which was a pleasant surprise! Very tender with a great beefy taste!

My order arrived still frozen and well wrapped and sealed. I called Heartstone for instructions on thawing and the gentleman was very helpful. The prime rib was delicious, tender and flavorful. I was surprised with the marbling throughout the roast. My dinner was a success!! Thank You and I will order again!!!

My vet recommended I give my dog knuckle bones (soup bones) so I placed an order. I was surprised at the amount of meat on the bones. I cut most of the meat off to make a stew. The meat in the stew was delicious and my dog is still working on the first bone. I will definitely purchase again

We ordered the Autumn Sampler, and decided to add 5 pounds of ground beef to the order. We have only sampled the ground beef as yet-- but even the smell of the burgers searing convinced us we had been smart and lucky to have found this remarkable beef. Best burgers I've ever cooked at home, hands down. And far superior to all but the finest restaurant burger. We'll be buying again!

The customer service is fantastic! I received the beef tongue beautifully packed and received it still frozen. Although I was disappointed that the tongue wasn't corned, when I cooked it the taste was delicious. Thank you farmer Dan.

Was reluctant to try this at first, as I have never tried beef tongue before...and confident to now say this was way better than expected! Its really good substitute for pork for a pulled pork style sandwich.

Brisket was reall good. Received 2 different sizes and it seemed they just left more fat on the heavy one. Also the cut is a double stacked cut with fat/grizzle in the middle. It’s less a typical brisket cut and more a hunk of brisket. Tasty but probably won’t order again. I like to try meat from all over until I find the right one for me.once I do I tend to stick with it.

Our rib roast turned out awesome! I smoked it for two hours and finished it in the oven. The whole family enjoyed it. I reverse seared the last slice and it was awesome that way too. I'd recommend to anyone. Hearthstone farm's meats are great! And decently priced for high quality

The meat is wonderful and I love the personalized packaging. Ithe steaks were sold out when I ordered but its all part of having fresh meat from smaller local farmers. I'll get my chance because I want to order again. Best part is, a nice little drive I can see the farm in person. Weve lost touch with our farmers and I think that last part is important.

Hi Farmer Dan, The NY Strip Steak was great, but it was boneless. Still was one of the best steaks we have had and even Momma said the same thing. And she does not eat a lot of meats. Also, the hamburger was great. I have purchased a lot of organic grass feed hamburger and to tell the truth; I did not think there would be much difference, but WOW! I've "wasted" so many pounds of beef purchased at different stores and I was never 100% happy with final results. Brisket from Heartstone Farm came out amazing. You can "blame " it on perfect cooking skills after so many tries but to top it off, I run to local store again and tried same thing with "regular" beef and this was not even close again. This brisket is fantastic.

I’m impressed and I am from NY. First the handwritten note card is a very nice touch. Now let’s begin with the liver. No metallic flavor, tender when cooked and sweet. The rib eye... that was next - not gamey tasting and although frozen it was delicious! I just ordered more liver and now bones. I’m on a carnivore diet so I need my meat to be top notch. The butcher in manhattan is much more money and frankly I’m just impressed. I don’t trust the supermarket meat because although it says grass fed is it grass finished? And where is it from??!
