BIG! short ribs

I was so excited for the short rib sale, these are my favorite things to cook. I pop them in my slow cooker and once I get home from work, I whip up a batch of cheesy polenta and my short ribs are perfectly cooked. My favorite week day meal. Good quality and flavorful. I highly recommend trying some.

Heartstone All Beef Hot Dogs

It was so great to find some healthy hot dogs where you know where the meat comes from. My son very often has a lack of appetite and hardly eats. He is an adult but has challenges but LOVES these hot dogs and will cook them himself and I’m happy about them. My husband who says he does like hot dogs tried one and said, ‘These are really good”. So Far, Not So Good

Ordering "Pork Chops" was a gamble on my part, because you could get all sorts of cuts that qualify, and I did. I was thrilled to see premium pork on the bone, and with some fat on it -- I am careful about what I eat, but I used to live in a place where there was such a frenzy about a Sonic opening that one driver managed to get a cop's arm caught in his driver's window and drag him 150 feet, so don't preach to me about things like pork fat. But I've had two chops so far, and it's a rip -- one was a rib chop you could read through and was marked .75, please, and the other had that huge, flat bone in the middle, hardly any meat on it. These chops are the kind supermarkets sell as "combo pack" at $1.99 a lb., I'm Italian, we would put these in gravy or cook them like scraps after making sausage. There are some center cut and first cut in the bunch, so we'll see. I haven't had enough meat to really judge the quality; what is quality so far is the butchering. I had stopped buying pork, period, because it's full of bone chips and slivers, they must just hack at it instead of properly butchering it. No tooth or choking hazards on these, but I'm afraid what I'm getting for the money will keep me from ordering these again.

Too Salty

My family and I found this sausage to be extremely salty. I am a person who has low blood pressure and the doctor makes me melt salt crystals on my tongue, but even I thought it was way too salty. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone on a low sodium diet. The meat itself was tasty and fresh. Next time I will only order the unprocessed turkey.

Very good burgers, by...

... the hamburgers can be cooked from frozen and taste very good, but they are poorly packaged, making it a messy job to separate them when frozen. The paper between the burgers is very difficult to remove when the burgers are frozen, too.

My only draw back is it has added sugar.

Never Going Back

I’ve been looking into different farms to order from for MONTHS- Asking around, scouring reddit, readings reviews etc. A lot of companies present as honest, clean, ethical etc… and they just aren’t. I ordered my first box from Heartstone this month and my family and I were blown away. The difference in taste is unreal and makes you really appreciate how staggering the difference is between mass produced stuff and the real deal. My favorite part about it is the fact they invite you to the farm to come see where you’re getting your meat from. Doesn’t get better than that in my opinion

Steak was tasty although a bit on the thin side.

I am not typically a fan of organ meats but this burger blend is fantastic, and I feel good about the extra nutrition my meals are when made with this. I have ordered a few times now and continue to always have some on hand.

Delicious free range chicken. Only disappointment was that they ran out of larger spatchcock chickens after I placed the order. They substituted the smaller 3.5 pound birds & refunded the difference. The smaller were very tasty though. Hoping to try larger 4.5 to 5 pounders next time.

Great Beef Hotdogs

We love these hotdogs and definitely would recommend them. We love everything that we've tried.

The taste of the turkey was amazing. Many times turkey has gristle and tendon. This turkey was gristle and tendon free and the taste was amazing. I would most definitely order my Thanksgiving turkey from heart stone this year.

My wife and I are so happy that we found Heartstone Farm. The quality is top tier. It's just great knowing that we are eating chemical free meat. We are telling all our friends and loved ones.

Sirloin Steak 10 oz

I've had 2 deliveries. Wasn't sure how it would work out but the Sirloin is one of the juiciest and tender I've had. Was going to try different items but sticking to what works.

I wasn't sure what to expect. If you like the taste of liver, which I do, you will love this.

good steak for brasing

While I've bought a number of things from Heartstone, and have really enjoyed everything, my last order was the first time I ordered chuck steak. I marinated it, using red wine vinegar in the marinade to help break down the connective tissue. I then grilled it, first by searing each side for a couple minutes, and then by finishing it to 130 degrees on indirect heat. I thought it had great beefy flavor. But I found it a little chewy, even though I had sliced it pretty thin. I'm certain this would make a great beef stew, or braised with wine and veggies like you would a beef short rib. But I think that for a grilling application, I'll stick with ribeye, NY strip, etc. I know those steaks are more expensive, but there's a reason why. The tenderness of beef tenderloin is what commands the high price, after all, it's not that it's got the best beef flavor of any cut. I will buy the chuck steak again, but I'm personally going to choose it for braising/stewing applications.

I’m new to Heartstone Farms subscription service. I have to say I am very happy. I have so far tried the turkey tenderloins, delicious. We grilled the ribeye steaks, amazing. You have to add a little water to the ground beef to make up for all the fat that it’s missing. I do not miss grocery store meats. You won’t be disappointed!

I sous vide these bad boys for 12 hours and when i put them on the grill I had to be gentle cause the meat was literally falling off the bone!!

Ancestral Ground Beef

The Ancestral ground beef was so good. My wife couldn't get past there being heart and liver in the ground beef. I thought it added a nice flavor, but I'm also eating carnivore. As the grass fed meat is a little more lean you way opt to add fat or cook more on the rare side to prevent the meat being chewy.
